Bitcoin es:
- Honesto: Porque la gente corrupta puede usar bitcoin, pero no pueden corromper bitcoin, es un libro de contabilidad INMUTABLE, por lo que no se puede cambiar, borrar, engañar o manipular la información en los bloques.
La forma de creación y distribución de nuevas monedas hasta el 2140 se produce con el método conocido como PoW (Proof of work) que se ha profesionalizado de tal manera, que no es rentable minar salvo que tengas máquinas especializadas, y a pesar de que parezca que la minería está centralizada en grandes empresas como Bitmain, Bitfury, etc, la realidad es que compiten entre ellas y quién sea capaz de crear un hardware más eficiente en el minado, será quien se llevará la mayoría de la recompensas que se reparten cada 10 minutos aproximadamente, cuando se sierra un bloque con todas las transacciones dentro.
Esos 10 minutos son cruciales para la desenfrenada competencia que se produce, todos los que tengan el hardware, software y configuraraciones correctas podrán participar en ésta competencia, sin ningún tipo de restricción, he aquí "la arena" y el incentivo económico para la competencia, modificar parte de ésta fórmula económica, puede ser la diferencia entre el TODO/NADA.

- Es dinero, porque puede funcionar como tal: medio de intercambio, almacén de valor, unidad de cuenta,...

- Para el mundo entero, porque es INMUTABLE y trazable, por lo que es válido para la mayoría de los países que acepten leyes honestas, es válido en el tiempo, pasado, presente y futuro, pero también es válido en el espacio, la mayoría de los países honestos pueden utilizarlo como una medida válida.

bitcoin no es riqueza en sí mismo, sino mas bien puede ser una representación de ésta, un apunte contable en un registro de datos y en ese sentido, ésta herramienta debe ser lo mas honesta posible.

HAL FINNEY
Harold Thomas Finney II was a genius cryptographer, hired by Phil Zimmerman to work on PGP (Pretty Good Privacy), a military-grade encryption software. Hal created the world’s first digital currency system, RPOW (Reusable Proof of Work). Hal helped Satoshi Nakamoto debug Bitcoin’s code. He was the first to receive a Bitcoin transaction. In 2009, Hal was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He died in 2014.

NICK SZABO
Nick Szabo is a Blockchain and cryptocurrencies pioneer. He invented the concepts of smart contracts and the blockchain. Nick conceived of Bit Gold, a proposal for a digital currency that was a direct precursor to Bitcoin. Nick holds a computer science and a law degree.

WEI DAI
Wei Dai is a computer engineer and cypherpunk best known as creator of B-money and the developer of the Crypto++ library. B-Money contains many of the innovative digital currency concepts later used in Bitcoin, and are still utilized in the cryptocurrency world today.

PHIL ZIMMERMANN
Philip R. “Phil” Zimmermann, Jr. is the creator of Pretty Good Privacy (PGP), the most widely used email encryption software in the world. He is also known for his work in Volp encryption protocols, notably ZRTP and Zfone. Zimmermann is co-founder and Chief Scientist of the global encrypted communications firm, Silent Circle.

TIM MAY
Timothy C. May was a founding member of, and has been one of the most voluminous contributors to, Cypherpunks electronic mailing list. He wrote extensively on cryptography and privacy from the 1990s through 2003. He is the author of the Crypto Anarchist Manifesto, a call to arms to protect the people’s right to privacy in the new digital era. He was an electronic engineer and senior scientist at Intel. He retired in 2003.

JOHN GILMORE
John Gilmore is one of the founders of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the Cypherpunks mailing list, and Cygnus Solutions. He created the alt.* hier. He is also a member of the boards of MAPS and the Marijuana Policy Project.
ROMANA MACHADO
Aka Cypherella, Romana Machado is a software developer and cryptocurrency investor from Silicon Valley. In the 1990’s she was employed by Apple and worked on The Newton, a remarkable, hand-held computer with voice-to-text capabilities far ahead of its time.

ERIC HUGHES
Eric Hughes is an American mathematician, computer programmer, and cypherpunk. He is considered one of the founders of the cypherpunk movement, along with Tim May and John Gilmore. The May/June 1993 issue of Wired featured a cover photo of three masked cypherpunks, of which Hughes was one. On September 27, 2012, Hughes delivered the keynote address, Putting the Personal Back in Personal Computers, at the Amsterdam Crypto Party.

JUDE MILHON
Judith [Jude] Milhon, best known by her pseudonym “St. Jude,” was a hacker and author in the San Francisco Bay Area. Milhon coined the term “cypherpunk” and was a founding member of the elite cryptographer’s mailing list. She also wrote for Mondo 2000, a cutting edge magazine of the day, and co-wrote the Cyberpunk Handbook. Milhon died of cancer on July 19th, 2003.
