"Practice, practice, practice. And, add to that a lot of reading.
Also, since I have to commute, I have used text to audio conversion software and changed papers to MP3 files, so I listen to these as I drive. This takes care of the theory, leaving time to practice the various tools and techniques at home. Add to that a huge amount of training from SANS and others, and an inability to get out of Uni, and that about covers it.
These days, it has become even simpler. I act as an editor for a technical publisher and also author my own papers and books. Getting paid to conduct technical reviews is a great way to stay on top of things".

Bitcoin SV – Blocking potential P2SH replay attack after Genesis hard fork
December 23, 2019
"The Bitcoin SV Node team notes the recent public disclosure on Reddit by Gregory Maxwell (a.k.a. /u/nullc) from the Bitcoin Core (BTC) of a potential replay attack vector on Bitcoin SV after the “Genesis” hard fork in February 2020 which will be deprecating the P2SH (pay-to-script-hash) feature that is not part of the Bitcoin design described by Satoshi Nakamoto."

"Some are speculating that the censorship of prominent crypto channels, which include Chris Dunn, Chico Crypto, The Cryptoverse, Crypto Tips and BTC Sessions, signals a larger purge which may soon come to smaller channels. In Dunn’s case, most of his crypto content was reportedly removed, leaving a very sizable gap in the uploads to his channel which appears to have set him back almost two years of content production"

Is someone going to steal Greg Maxwell’s BSV?
EDITORIAL 24 Dic 2019
Kurt Wuckert Jr
"No! The deprecation of P2SH in the Genesis protocol upgrade is not going to introduce a “replay attack” theft of coins allowing “anyone-can-spend” rules to be used against Greg Maxwell’s (or anyone else’s) unclaimed BSV sitting in old BTC or BCH wallets. The attack vector is a red herring in the same vein as practical double-spend or hyper-inflation attacks against bitcoin – meaning the attack, while technically possible, is improbable unless the network (or in this case, multiple networks) is controlled by dishonest nodes. For the sake of exceeding caution, Bitcoin SV node will add a consensus rule to the upcoming Genesis upgrade to make any such attack that much more improbable".

“Could be. They're talking about the old Chaumian central mint stuff, but maybe only because that was the only thing available. Maybe they would be interested in going in a new direction.
A lot of people automatically dismiss e-currency as a lost cause because of all the companies that failed since the 1990's. I hope it's obvious it was only the centrally controlled nature of those systems that doomed them. I think this is the first time we're trying a decentralized, non-trust-based system”.
