Gaza narrative needs to be corrected - Malaysia PM

Malaysia PM Anwar Ibrahim insisted that the narrative around the Gaza conflict all starting from the October 7 attack being pushed by the media and in Western capitals need to be rejected.

“It all began with colonization, UN resolutions, and the continued harassment of settlers ” he said.

Gaza faces 42 million-ton, $1.2 billion rubble dilemma

UN estimates say two-thirds of all structures in the Gaza Strip - almost three times the number of buildings in Manhattan - have been totally or partially destroyed, leaving rubble packed with decomposing bodies and unexploded ordnance.

The operation to clear up the monumental mountains of rubble - equivalent in mass to 11 Great Pyramids of Giza - could take 14 years and cost $1.2 billion.

UN analysis suggests about 2.3 million tons of the debris is likely contaminated, with lung cancer among the multitude of health risks from the vast quantities of dust and asbestos.

Jewish academic arrested at pro-Palestine rally in UK

Jewish-Israeli professor Haim Bresheeth was arrested under the UK's anti-terrorism law after a pro-Gaza speech at a London protest earlier this month. He reportedly called for the deportation of Israel’s ambassador to the UK, Tzipi Hotovely.

Bresheeth, a scholar at SOAS, was accused of "hate speech" by the Metropolitan Police. The International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network organized the protest.

Will a Public Assembly Restriction Declaration be put into effect if and when Herzog visits Australia?

The NSW Premier has recently said, ‘words lead to actions’ and in the case of Herzog he has been found to have incited GENOCIDE.

Given that the Australian govt cannot control what comes out of Herzog’s mouth when on Australian soil, it is walking the tightrope when it comes to the illegal legitimisation of the Israeli occupation.
