Venezuela's top court ratifies Maduro election win — Reuters

Venezuela's Supreme Justice Tribunal on Thursday ratified President Nicolas Maduro's victory in the July 28 presidential election. Which seals the incumbent president’s victory and the disputed contest fades from international headlines.

The supreme tribunal agrees that Maduro won the election, court president Caryslia Rodriguez said, adding the decision cannot be appealed. The electoral authority has said since the night of the election that Maduro won just over half of votes, though it has not published full tallies.

Venezuela seeks arrest warrant for Argentina’s Milei

Venezuelan Prosecutor Tarek William Saab has requested an arrest warrant for Argentine President Javier Milei over the US' confiscation of the Venezuelan Emtrasur aircraft in Buenos Aires, accusing the Argentine authorities of aggravated theft and money laundering.

Saab's office also want to arrest Milei’s sister, Secretary General of the Presidential Office Karina Milei, and Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich.

The move comes weeks after the US seized Nicolas Maduro’s $13 million jet in Florida, which Washington alleges was bought in violation of sanctions.

Asia's refineries are built for Gulf crude

That's exactly what's disappearing from Hormuz right now

You can't just swap in US Light Sweet.

It doesn't run the same way.

Why there's no easy substitute:

→ #Russia: Already maxed out, can't scale further

→ US Light Sweet: Wrong grade for Asian refineries

→ #Venezuela Heavy: Extra-heavy, rarely goes to Asia

→ #Canada Heavy: 96% to US, not exported to Asia

The reality is that Asia doesn't just need oil.

Asia needs Medium and Heavy Sour crude from the Gulf.

And right now:

→ The Strait is 80% closed
→ Refineries are burning
→ Producers are declaring force majeure
→ Tankers won't enter the Gulf

You can't replace it barrel for barrel because refineries are built for specific grades.

When those grades disappear, the system breaks.
