China has responded angrily to a planned statement from NATO’s Washington summit, saying it is full of provocation and lies.

‘As we all know, China is not the creator of the crisis in Ukraine,’ Beijing said in response to the draft communique.

‘The declaration of the NATO summit in Washington is full of Cold War mentality and belligerent rhetoric, and China-related content is full of provocations, lies, incitement and smears.’

⚠️ China constructs secret military base in Tajikistan, satellite images reveal (The Telegraph)

The facility is located in a remote, mountainous area and houses troops from both China and Tajikistan.

The base is believed to be in response to security concerns arising from Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, which shares an 800-mile border with Tajikistan.

China is providing ammunition and tech to Tajikistan as part of its plans to create an "advanced line of defense."

⚠️ Trump considering cutting back intel sharing with Europe (Politico)

Trump advisers have told allied countries the reduced intel sharing would be part of a broader plan to scale back US support with NATO, according to three European officials.

Asked for comment, a spox from the Trump campaign did not respond directly, instead referring to a statement on TruthSocial that the former president “will restore peace and rebuild American strength and deterrence on the world stage.”

Trump repeatedly questioned and sought to undercut the alliance during his first term in office.

NATO has once again confirmed its nature, as a military alliance created to maintain confrontation, and now it is fully involved in the conflict around Ukraine, the Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated today.
