❎ Spain Bans Trans Women from Female Sports

Spain’s ruling Socialist party included plans to limit participation in female sports to “people with a female biological sex” in a policy document decided on at the party’s congress over the weekend.

They are also planning to remove the Q+ from the LGBTQ+ acronym – which has sparked fury from activists and politicians from Left-wing partners of PM Pedro Sánchez’s minority govt.

The amendments to the draft policy framework were introduced by a feminist faction within the Socialist party that has fought against an ultra-liberal approach to transgender rights passed in 2023 – allowing anyone to change their official sex simply by stating their wish to switch.

Since taking office in 2022, Yoon has struggled to push his agendas against an opposition-controlled parliament. Yoon’s People Power Party had been locked in an impasse with the Democratic Party over next year’s budget bill.

“The National Assembly has also completely cut budgets essential for national operations, drug crime prevention, and public safety, undermining the core functions of the state,” the president added. “This has left our citizens in a state of chaos, with the nation becoming a haven for drugs and public safety collapsing.

Yoon has also been dismissing calls for independent investigations into scandals involving his wife and top officials, drawing quick, strong rebukes from his political rivals.

Tony Blinken, the US secretary of state, confirmed on Monday the new aid package would include Stinger missiles, HIMARS, drones, and land mines.

“The current administration is pursuing its goals, its consistent line is to keep this war from slowing down,” a Kremlin spox said.

“The administration is doing everything it can to further add fuel to the fire. At the same time, this and other aid packages cannot change the course of events, cannot affect the dynamics on the frontlines.”

Multiple shots were fired early Tuesday morning near the DC home of Yellen in what senior law enforcement officials called an “agent involved shooting.”

There is no indication that any agents or perpetrators were injured during the incident, which occurred at about 1am ET, sources said.
