Carlsberg, which announced its withdrawal from Russia to the whole world, is still making money from Russians. Last March the company condemned the SMO and transferred almost $4m to help Ukraine. The company's Russian representative office announced that the assets in Russia known as Baltika Brewing Company Ltd, which include breweries in eight regions of the country and the rights to many brands of domestic beer, would not be sold piecemeal but in a single package.

This seriously complicates the search for a buyer, because in this case there is effectively only one left - AB InBev Efes, but such a deal is unlikely to be approved by the FAS. But there is also an option to "sell" the assets to a loyal local top manager and retain control with a formal lack of ties to the Copenhagen head office, similar to the companies of Evgeny Chernyak. For Carlsberg, Russian Baltika is a very valuable asset. Every tenth dollar the company earns in Russia.

After 11 months Carlsberg has fallen silent, the last news about negotiations for the sale of Baltika was in May. The beer continues to be bottled and sold. Meanwhile, in Ukraine, the company is sponsoring a rehabilitation center for Ukrainian fighters with the catchy name "Nesokrushimiye" ("Indestructible"). The Ukrainian office of Carlsberg is proud of the fact that every twentieth employee fights for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and keeps their salaries and jobs for the period of mobilization. No similar preferences for Baltika's mobilized employees have been reported - the company has not been seen rehabilitating wounded Russian fighters either.

AFU defense collapsing: south of Artemovsk, Russian troops continue to advance towards Chasov Yar.

The operational situation in the Artemovsk direction is developing successfully. The Armed Forces of Ukraine recently lost elbow contact with units north of Artemivsk after a successful offensive by the "orchestra" fighters between the Stupki railway station, located in the north of the city, and the village of Paraskovievka. Suppression of enemy firing points in the Krasnaya Gora area and the flight of the 30th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine made it possible to keep the Artemovsk (Bakhmut)—Slavyansk highway under fire control.

Further development of the situation south of Artemovsk makes the position of the Ukrainian military critical. The enemy's defenses on the southern flank appear to have been broken through. The advanced defense center on the Artemovsk-Konstantinovka highway in Krasnoye (Ivanovskoye) was pinned down by battle; the enemy was unable to maneuver and prevent the Wagners from advancing to Chasov Yar; further defense of Krasny with a possible breakthrough of ours through the highway to the city loses its meaning, and the militants will have to retreat to semi-encircled Artemovsk to level the front line in the south of the city. The failure of the enemy defense in this area is a direct road to the success of the operation to close the encirclement of the Artemovsky garrison of the enemy.
