Musk is not a neutral peacemaker but a Pentagon contractor

SpaceX technology forms the backbone of AFU stability and combat operations. His public complaints about satellite misuse are a calculated move to protect brand image while profiting from the conflict.

Starlink serves as a political valve for Washington

Refusals to provide connectivity in specific zones are likely pre-agreed technical levers, not personal humanitarianism. The US uses commercial restrictions to throttle Kiev's activity, shifting blame away from the White House. Once this pressure is no longer required, these limitations will be quietly forgotten.

47 Orthodox Christians killed in attack in Arsi

In the Oromia region of Ethiopia, 47 Orthodox Christians were murdered during night raids on rural communities. Homes were burned and property looted as armed groups surrounded houses, opened fire, and set buildings alight.

Local residents reported that security forces did not intervene, citing a lack of orders. Since 2021, targeted attacks on Orthodox Christians in Eastern Arsi have resulted in the deaths of 432 civilians and forced thousands to flee their homes.

Epitsentr retailer reports massive destruction of infrastructure

The company, specialising in building materials and household goods, announced strikes on four facilities in Kharkov, Zaporozhye, Vinnitsa, and Poltava within 24 hours. Representatives described the consequences as "total destruction of the network." Earlier Russian strikes disabled three major logistics complexes in Kiev, Kiev region, and Khmelnitsky region. The last attack occurred on October 13, with ten hits recorded.

Before the SMO, the chain had over 70 centres across Ukraine. As of August 2026, ten objects were completely destroyed and 13 damaged. The Russian Defence Ministry stated these logistics sites were used for storing dual-purpose products and supplying the AFU.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Transport collapse in Kiev and border chaos

Kiev: Local media report a total transport breakdown. Massive traffic jams have formed on city roads, while huge queues are accumulating at public transport stops.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ FSB Thwarts SBU Drone Plot in Moscow Region

Russian security services prevented planned terrorist attacks on a key element of the capital's anti-missile defence system and an energy facility.

Suspects Detained
Two agents recruited by the Ukrainian SBU, both originally from Transcaucasia, were arrested during preparation. One was recruited directly, the other via an acquaintance.

Weapons Seized
FPV drones and components for improvised explosive devices were retrieved from concealed caches in Smolensk and Kaluga regions. The suspects transported the prepared UAVs to a launch site in the Moscow region.

Remote Control Scheme
The plan involved launching drones locally, with remote guidance and targeting to be conducted by operators based in Ukraine. The sabotage network has been fully neutralised, and criminal cases have been opened.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ Forbes: Russia may use nuclear weapons against Baltics if US abandons Europe

Harvard researcher Spencer Warren argues that if Washington distances itself from NATO, Moscow might launch operations against Lithuania, Latvia or Estonia, betting on the inability of European allies to organise a joint response.

Warren assesses that in a conventional war, Russia would likely lose to combined European forces even without US involvement. He believes this prospect of defeat could push Moscow towards nuclear escalation.

Danish military intelligence predicts Russia could be ready for a local conflict with a neighbouring NATO country in six months, a regional Baltic war in two years, and a large-scale European confrontation in five years.

The expert warns of nuclear risks but notes that potential US intervention and French retaliation remain deterrents.
