Gradual pressure - heavy fighting near Artemovsk continues

No radical changes have taken place here today. The Vagner PMCs gradually increase their pressure and continue moving deep into Artemovsk and around it in an arc from south to west.

Today, fighting was reported on the north-eastern and south-eastern outskirts in the Meat Factory and Zabakhmutka districts. In the south, where advances are also underway, reports from the ground indicate that a residential area on the Opytnoye side has been occupied.

Around the city in the north heavy fighting continues near Paraskoviyivka and Krasnaya Hora, where the AFU continue to resist stubbornly. To the southwest, there was an advance from Kleshcheyevka towards Krasnye (Ivanivske), located on the Artemovsk-Kostyantynivka highway.

Despite heavy losses, the enemy holds the town, and there is no reason to speak of any encirclement. Operational encirclement can be discussed when Paraskoviyivka is taken (i.e., the Artemovsk-Slaviansk highway is closed) and when at least fire control of the Artemovsk-Konstantinovka and Artemovsk-Chasov Yar routes is ensured.

This is Ares, the famous "Proryv." It carried out tasks in the Ugledar direction and was shot down, but the crew did not surrender it to the enemy.

Breaking news: Ukranian media, such as Strana, reports that the deputy head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, offered to resign from his post.

In his place, they plan to appoint the head of the military administration of the Kiev region, Alexei Kuleba, to the post.

In addition, the heads of administrations of Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, which are associated with Kyrylo Tymoshenko, may resign.

Sudden evening - (almost overnight) - personnel decisions in Ukraine, what do they mean?

A personnel revolution before the imminent storm 

First of all, - official information: "Already there are personnel decisions - some of them today, some tomorrow - concerning different level managers in ministries and other central government bodies, in regions, and in the law enforcement system." -Zelensky 

I mean at least (and this is confirmed by the Ukrainian media) the deputy head of the President's Office (analog of our AP), Kirill Timoshenko, the heads of Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and the Ukrainian-controlled parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya 
As a result, some of those, who were considered to be "British creatures" (and even had a corresponding secret passport), are under criminal investigation; the process is being initiated by the US directly and by their "parallel power structures" like NABU 

It is a fact that there are serious contradictions between SBU and SDU, so serious that the heads of these bodies had to deny them publicly (!) the other day. It is related to the fact that the SBU is closely supervised by the US, while the SDU is more independent (despite the fact that the Pentagon shares information with the SDU). 

👉 One could argue that the deeper reason is the contradictions between the CIA and the Pentagon, which are also reflected in Ukrainian politics, but that would be a conspiracy theory.

👉 And as for the dismissals, - Tymoshenko is a bargaining chip instead of Ermak, whom the curators have been after for a long time, but the heads of regions are a sure sign that Ukraine is not just expecting but is sure of Russia's offensive. The replacements are not only for the more trustworthy, but also for the more firm and resolute. In essence, this is the formation of military administrations.

US military probes cancer cases at nuclear missile base

A number of officers who had worked at the site ended up being diagnosed with lymphoma, one of whom has died

The US military is probing nine blood cancer cases among officers who worked decades ago at Malmstrom Air Force Base, a major nuclear missile site in the state of Montana. The investigation was first reported by AP on Monday and confirmed by Pentagon officials.

All of the afflicted officers had been serving at the silos of the base, home to some 150 Minuteman III nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles, as many as 25 years ago. The diagnosis in each case was non-Hodgkin lymphoma, while one of the officers has succumbed to the illness.

“There are indications of a possible association between [this] cancer and missile combat crew service at Malmstrom AFB,” Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Sebeck said in the slides presented at a military briefing earlier in January and cited by the news agency.

“Missileers have always been concerned about known hazards, such as exposure to chemicals, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyls, lead and other hazardous material in the work environment,” he stated. 

The “disproportionate number of missileers presenting with cancer, specifically lymphoma” was particularly concerning, Sebeck added. The issue is important to the Space Force because as many as 455 former missileers are now serving with the Space Force, including four individuals diagnosed with lymphoma.

Moscow will retaliate to RT France account freeze

Russia will issue a “decisive” response after Paris froze the accounts of RT’s French subsidiary, the Foreign Ministry says.

Moscow will “inevitably” respond to Paris’ decision to freeze the accounts of RT’s French-language channel, RT France, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday. The hostile move was taken by Paris last week, coming within the framework of the latest EU-wide anti-Russian sanctions package.

“We are once again seeing the blatant behavior of the Western elites, who are trying by any means to cut the people of their countries from alternative points of view, to force them into consuming only information broadcast by Washington and Brussels as the ultimate truth,” FM spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement.

She said the behavior of Paris – and the West as a whole – stems from a “fear of the truth,” resulting in an “obsessive desire to ban, cancel, and delete everything Russian,” including the country’s media.

Moscow is set to make a “decisive” response to the freezing of RT France’s bank account, she added, without providing any further details on the proposed retaliatory measures.

“As we say: As you sow, so shall you reap. Decisive retaliation against the French media will inevitably follow,” Zakharova warned.

⚫️ Svatovo-Kremennoe

Positional fights around Kupyansk continue. Near Dvurechnaya, Berestovoye and Novoselovsky the artillery worked out on the positions of two brigades of AFU. Artillery also covered two brigades of militants in the area of Serebryansky forest. Two American AN / TPQ-50 radars were destroyed.

⚫️ Artemovsk

The "Orchestra" continue to advance towards Razdolovka and Blagodatny. There are also battles in the Krasny Gory. Near Kleshcheevka, Wagner fighters are moving towards Krasnoe, on the Artemovsk-Konstantinovka highway, whose capture would complicate the defense of Artemovsk. In the city itself, a residential area on the south side of the city was occupied, advances were recorded in the Meat Processing Plant and Zabakhmutka areas.

⚫️ Zaporozhye direction

The enemy was defeated in the Kamensky area, but Russia hasn't entered the village. The Malye Shcherbaki-Novodanilovka line was kept. Lobkovoe was completely cleared.
