Telegram has some of the clearest most granular permissions which can be set for admins and users of your channels and groups.

I remember when Google Photos and Google+ where included 🤓
Obviously G+ has been dead for a while now, but the omission of Google Photos is quite recent and probably related to the announcement of the end of free high quality storage.
Anyone else notice the removal of Google Photos?

This YouTube embed hack no longer works 😐
Not sure who else might have been using this, but YouTube have now closed the loophole.
Essentially when embedding third-party videos I would craft the embed URL adding a related playlist which would play after the third party video finished.
Google now seems to check whether the video is in the playlist and where not prioritises the playlist, no longer showing the embed.
Ah well ...

As Telegram approaches 500 million active users, how will they pay? 🤔
Some points from the announcement today.
👉 Telegram will Not sell.
👉 Telegram will begin to generate revenue in 2021. Most users will hardly notice any change.
👉 All the features that are currently free will stay free.
👉 Messaging will remain ad-free.
👉 Introduction of a native Ad Platform for public one-to-many channels – one that is user-friendly, respects privacy and allows Telegram to cover the costs of servers and traffic.
👉 If Telegram starts earning money, the community should also benefit.

Voice Chats Done Right
Today, Telegram groups get an entire new dimension with Voice Chats – persistent conference calls that members can join and leave as they please. Our 12th update in 2020 brings them to you just in time for remote Christmas carols.
The last few days I've been working on a new (local) social project which I hope will take off in 2021.
During that process what's been surprising to me is how little Twitter is used generally by business.
It's common for businesses to have a Facebook page and an Instagram channel: but seem rather rare to also feature a Twitter channel.

Do you think it's down to Twitter's failing to connect with business, or an unavoidable result of Facebook's dominance in the social space?
