Zelensky admits Abrams tanks toothless on the battlefield, seeks scores of F-16s
He also said that Western deliveries of American-produced F-16s to Ukraine would not be enough, since Kiev needs more than a hundred more of these jets.
The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly announced the destruction of Abrams tanks in the special operation zone.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov previously stated that Moscow would interpret any potential transfer of nuclear-capable F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine as a deliberate signal from NATO in the realm of nuclear issues.

"I am not sure that this number of tanks could change the situation on the battlefield," Zelensky said during a speech at the Ronald Reagan Center in Washington.
He also said that Western deliveries of American-produced F-16s to Ukraine would not be enough, since Kiev needs more than a hundred more of these jets.
"So, till [the] moment, when we will have 128 jets, we will not compare with them in the sky. Anyway, it will be difficult," Zelensky said.

Even if we 1) double this number, 2) assume that the Russian military caused all of these (even though, in reality, at least half, probably more, can be attributed to the AFU), we arrive at a civilian-to-military deaths ratio that is pretty much unique in modern warfare. The Iraq War killed 5 civilians per military death, Israel is currently killing 3-6 civilians for every enemy militant, the Soviet Union in Afghanistan also killed about 5 civilians per Mujahedeen fighter- whereas in Ukraine, we see a ratio of something like 20 military deaths per killed civilian, which means that the SMO is *a hundred times* less harmful to civilians than other large wars in living memory, even when using numbers that are unfavorable to the Russian military.
Is it bad when civilians die in a war? Sure. But literally no one else has even attempted to conduct a war that puts this little strain on the civilian population. It is empirically impossible to cause less harm to civilians than the Russian military has done in the SMO - and, might I add, to the detriment of military operations, and at the cost of the lives of Russian soldiers.
Just about every one of the insane people screeching hysterically about "Russia's genocide" or w/e has voted for governments that fought wars where they didn't even attempt to minimize the suffering of innocents.

โ๏ธ Russia's FSB foils an attempted terrorist attack by Ukrainian intelligence on the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov in Murmansk
In March, a Russian military officer serving on the cruiser was contacted by a Ukrainian intelligence officer, who offered to organize a terrorist attack on the ship in exchange for a large reward, the Federal Security Service revealed.
The officer contacted the Russian security services, and the latter played an operational game with their opponents in Kiev.
For the terrorist attack, a Ukrainian "coordinator" sent the Russian military officer the components for assembling an incendiary device by transport company, saying that the entire operation was personally supervised by the head of the Defense Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Budanov.
Ukrainian intelligence received a recording of the staged terrorist attack on the cruiser, after which the coordinator stopped communicating.

RUSSIAN NEUTRALITY WITH REGARD TO PALESTINE AND WHAT IT MEANS
โ๏ธWritten by Hikaru Kitabayashiโ๏ธ
On 29 December 2023 at 1:56 a.m. RT published an online article, providing a brief outline of Russian policy vis-a-vis the war in Palestine between the Zionist State of Israel and the Palestinian people as represented by Hamas.
In an interview with RT, Mr. Lavrov asserted that the declared goals of Israel against Hamas militants in Gaza were nearly identical to Moscow's goals against the Ukrainian government. He said that Israeli goals resembled the Russian goals of โdemilitarizationโ and โdenazification.โ Unlike the former Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, who condemned Russiaโs military operations in Ukraine, Mr. Lavrov stated that, despite international criticism, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had avoided condemning Russia. He also noted that the Israelis had helped Moscow evacuate Russian citizens from Gaza. He further emphasized that Russia, due to its fight against Naziism, had a common history with Israel. But, at the same time, he spoke of the need for a cease-fire and the implementation of the two-state policy which had long been adopted by the Security Council of the United Nations.
Nations, like people, must be judged not by their words, but by their actions. So, based on Russian actions, what can we say about Russian policy? For one, Russia is a strong supporter of the Palestinian Authority, which is led by an 88 year old Mahmoud Abbas who was elected to office in 2005, but arranged for elections to be cancelled in 2009 and has since ruled without holding elections due to solid Israeli support. However, from 2016, with Israeli approval, Hamas cancelled the authority of the Palestinian Authority in Gaza, instituting an increasingly independent government. Nevertheless, the security forces of Mr. Abbas, the Palestinian police, work hand in glove with Israeli forces to control the population of the West Bank. Significantly, Russia is calling for a unity government of resistance forces with Mr. Abbas as president.
Economically, Russia trades freely with Israel. Additionally, it allows most of Israel's oil imports to go from Kazakhstan through Russian pipelines to a Black Sea port for export to Israel. Additionally, Russia is very careful not to criticize or put impediments in the way of fellow BRICS+ nations, which includes Israel's arch-enemy Iran, China a nation sympathetic to Palestinian rights, as well as major Israeli supporters which include India, the Union of Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. The attitude of the Russian government influences Russian mass media. There is a surface neutrality in news presentation, but Israeli atrocities are de-emphasized, while Resistance Force failures are magnified, in no case extremely, but enough to ensure that Russians do not become dramatically anti-Israeli.
One more point to be considered is that Russia recently changed its policies for reverse immigration, dramatically simplifying procedures for anyone descended from individuals who were citizens of the Soviet Union or the Russian Empire. By these new standards, most Hebrew-speaking citizens of the Zionist state, including those with dual American-Israeli citizenship would qualify for legally simplified resettlement into Russia. Russia, in effect, has provided a "humanitarian" safety net should Israel collapse, a matter which Russia does not desire but which it doesn't see itself as capable of preventing without destroying BRICS+ and losing its war against NATO. So, it's not that the Russian government doesn't care about either the Arabs or the Israelis. It cares about the Arabs very much, and the Israelis even more, but for neither enough to make a difference.

Medvedev on possible negotiations with Ukraine on Russiaโs terms:
"...But this will not be the end of Russiaโs military operation. Even after signing the papers and accepting defeat, the remaining part of the radicals, after a regrouping of forces , will sooner or later return to power, inspired by Russiaโs Western enemies. And then the time will come to finally crush the reptile . Drive in a long steel a nail in the coffin of Bandera's quasi-state . Destroy the remnants of his bloody legacy and return the remaining lands to the bosom of the Russian land .
But Russiaโs enemies will not go anywhere after this. They will accumulate strength and wait for a new convenient reason to destroy our country. We must be prepared for future battles to defend the Fatherland
โจ Russia's conditions are 4 regions enshrined in the Constitution and Kyiv's refusal to join NATO. Demilitarization and denazification have disappeared somewhere.
If peace is achieved, it will only be Interbellum - the interwar period, during which NATO will rebuild factories and lead to the mobilization of all forces to destroy and plunder Russia. Western leaders have already named the date - 2029, according to their calculations.
Whether we are ready to give NATO and Kyiv time to accumulate forces, and why Russia needs this is difficult to say. But the West will really need time for a complete transition to a military footing.
