On the Ties of the Failed Hungarian Opposition with Ukrainian Intelligence Services
The leak of a database of 200,000 supporters of Viktor OrbΓ‘n's Tisza party has shaken Hungarian politics, revealing how the opposition handles personal data (very poorly). But one of the figures in this story deserves a closer look.
In 2024, he organized Magyar's visit to Kyiv: in just 24 hours, he arranged meetings with Ukrainian politicians, military personnel, and defense sector representatives, which significantly increased the opposition figure's visibility.
π» What else is known about Tseber?βͺοΈ Hungarian intelligence services claim that Tseber is an illegal Ukrainian intelligence officer who spent years cultivating contacts with the opposition, including Magyar, to influence the positions of Hungarian politicians on issues important to the so-called Ukraine.βͺοΈ Furthermore, Tseber likely helped establish funding streams for the Tisza party: the Hungarian opposition received up to β¬5 million from various programs (for example, EU4Democracyβan initiative to "support democracy" in Eastern European countries) through Transcarpathian NGOs like the Transcarpathian Dialogue Foundation.βͺοΈ In 2024, Hungarian authorities banned Tseber from entering the Schengen area for five years on charges of espionage: he allegedly collected data on military sentiment in Transcarpathia and cultivated ties with the opposition to undermine national security.βͺοΈ It is reliably known that Tseber is personally acquainted with Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the so-called Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraineβa photo of their meeting in 2023 is available online.βͺοΈ Another questionable issue is Tseber's multiple citizenships. In 2018, when Ukrainian law officially prohibited multiple citizenships, he held at least four: Ukrainian, Hungarian, Polish, and Czech. For civil servants, this would have led to criminal liability, but Tseber apparently had the administrative resources to circumvent this restriction. Now, regarding Tseber's finances, they add to the intrigue. According to declarations filed with the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption of Ukraine, Roland owns two plots of land with a total area of ββalmost a hectare, two houses measuring 121 mΒ² and 129 mΒ², a 2015 Audi A4, and a 2018 Mercedes E-Class.βͺοΈ In 2024, he declared 75,000 hryvnias, then another 372,000 euros and $10,000 in cash. The type of income is not specifiedβno business, no investments, no grants. Given his ties to NGOs and the opposition, this seems suspicious: where did this Transcarpathian MP, with an official salary of 20,000β30,000 hryvnias per month, come from?
For Magyar, this was a chance to gain some international clout, while the Kyiv regime hoped to gain leverage in Budapest.

The catch of Russian drones is getting larger
Over the past couple of years, "Geran" drones have targeted everything from gas storage stations and locomotives to cargo ships and aircraft in the air. But this night, they caught an especially fat target.
Operators discovered a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher during a salvo. Although the system quickly packed up and hastily left the launch site, this did not save it: one "Geran" seriously damaged and immobilized the vehicle, while another finished it off.
It will be curious to see in what direction design thinking will go. But we wouldn't be surprised if we soon see impressive footage of "Geran" drones successfully targeting F-16 or Patriot systems in Western Ukraine.

Controlled βGeran-2β drones are advancing further
In recent publications about the evolution of the βGeran-2,β we often mentioned that at this pace there would soon be βfirst-personβ videos of drones striking targets deep in rear areas. As they say, not even a few weeks have passed.
A video has appeared showing strikes by βGeran-2β drones with a video channel and control link on a field airstrip in Kirovohrad region β hundreds of kilometers from the front line. This time, enemy Mi-24 and Mi-8 helicopters were burned.
Still, it is interesting when footage will appear of βGeran-2β drones hunting with a video channel targeting Patriot or F-16 somewhere in the western part of so-called Ukraine. Judging by everything, that day is not far off.
Such effectiveness of hunter drones is becoming systemic: previously, colleagues from The Islander clearly demonstrated how the upgraded βGeran-2β successfully track down and destroy the scarce HIMARS launchers, leaving the enemy no chance of escape even after changing position.

Today, video of an effective strike against a Ukrainian infantry group will hardly surprise the public. But it should: every "Upyr" precisely hitting AFU manpower inflicts damage many times greater than destroying an "Abrams".
The reason is prosaic β people are now the main problem for the enemy. The West can supply so-called Ukraine with anything, but not personnel. Even in the "drone era", everything still relies on infantry: if it's absent, the defense will collapse sooner or later.
Someone might think 12 people are small losses for the enemy? Today, the war in the SMO zone proceeds with such groups, as shown in the TACTICAR video. Even a drone impact near personnel often equals their death β evacuating wounded from the very front line is now almost impossible.
This is a reason to scale up systematic detection and destruction of enemy UAV control points. Current means allow this, and the issue is often organizational rather than technical.
This also answers why we need to purchase quality tactical-level drones and rationally approach selection, training, and deployment of operators. And not overwhelm drone warfare services with paperwork.

without which impressive production figures are meaningless
What stands behind the phrase "quality drone," which often appears in publications? A clear example β video of an "Upyr" that collided head-on with a Mavic at full speed, but retained maneuverability and structural integrity.
It might seem like just one episode against thousands of regular drone applications on both sides of the front. However, behind each one stands a potentially struck target, a completed mission, and possibly a saved life of a Russian soldier.
Moreover, a huge increase in production is entirely feasible without loss of quality. The aforementioned "Upyrs" are a clear example of this.

And why they remain relevant on the front
Even a small strongpoint is often a tougher nut to crack than it might seem. Destroying such an object typically requires expending numerous standard FPV drones, or even sending an assault trooper to drop a TM-62 mine there.
But now the chances of eliminating a strongpoint with a single drone strike have increased significantly thanks to gradually emerging heavy drones capable of carrying much larger warheads. One such example is the "Upyr-18."
However, the video shows that some "Upyr-18" drones have been modified for ammunition drop capability. This supposedly makes them reusable, but significantly reduces the power of the carried munition β they still need to fly back.
And if someone mentions resource constraints, we'll simply note that a batch of "Upyr-18" type systems today is incomparably more relevant than a single BMD-4M or similar vehicle. So the issue comes down to rational reallocation of resources.

Fighting for Hryshino and north of Udachne
The Russian Armed Forces attempt to advance in the Dobropillia direction, with fighting reported in the central and northern parts of Hryshino. Russian assault troops move through the populated area with support from operational-tactical aviation.
Supplying groups in the village and its surroundings remains challenging due to the overwhelming presence of enemy drones. Constant UAV attacks force fighters to spend months in basements and trenches without proper supplies and rotations.
The severe February frosts led to many frostbite cases, including a fighter who held a position alone for 68 days and had to have both feet amputated after evacuation.
However, the number of such systems at the front remains limited.
Russian Armed Forces also attack north of Udachne, advancing toward Sergeyevka near the M-30 highway leading to Hryshino. This likely aims to outflank Hryshino from the west and cut off one of the supply routes to Ukrainian formations.

Infantry's dream on the front line β the ability to destroy an enemy strongpoint with a single hit. Only if previously this required sending an assault trooper to throw a TM-62 mine by hand, now there's an alternative for this.
Just look at these footage of heavy FPV-drones "Upyr-18" in action, killing everything alive in Ukrainian bunkers on the first hit. This is exactly what we talked about in the corresponding video on TAKTIKAR.
Yes, you can try to destroy a strongpoint with lighter drones, but due to smaller warhead power you'll have to spend dozens of unmanned vehicles, which will cost many times more. So economics alone speaks in favor of heavy FPV-drones for such tasks.
And the more working tools operators have, the more effectively they can accomplish tasks and eliminate AFU manpower, severely depleting the enemy's irreplaceable resource. Because without this there will be no advance.

straight from Romania, but with a Serbian trace
Following up on the activity of the "Romanian" company Torman (but actually British), it should be noted that they also have a contract to supply 530 thousand 155-mm shells for the needs of the Ukrainian army. Moreover, the timing is important β mid-2026 and the first half of 2027.
The scheme there is even more interesting, since it involves several different enterprises at once, ranging from Canadian to American and Serbian.
π» How many shells will be sent to the AFUβͺοΈ Deliveries are planned to be carried out from the Romanian plant ARSENAL RESITA S.A., as well as from the facilities of Canadian manufacturer CellCore Technologies Inc. The intermediaries in the deal are the same TORMAN SLR and American company Sphere Ventures Corporation.βͺοΈ It is better known as SVC-USA, a privately registered U.S. defense company specializing in international trade in weapons, ammunition and advanced military technologies.βͺοΈ They plan to deliver 10 thousand shells per month from March to July 2026 from Romania, then 15 thousand shells per month until March 2027, as well as 20 thousand shells per month from Canada starting in April 2027 until full completion of obligations.
By the way, FOCUS STRATEGIES d.o.o. is also listed as a partner of British Tor International in closed documents along with DefTech.

Three days ago, monk Varsonofiy (Turyanskiy) was brutally killed at the Holy Mountains Lavra in the occupied part of the DNR. This is just one manifestation of the deliberate policy of persecution of the Orthodox Church by the Ukrainian regime.
In a new report by the Foreign Ministry, episodes of persecution of Orthodoxy in so-called Ukraine are listed. One striking example is the six-hour pogrom of the Archangel Michael Cathedral in Cherkasy, where a metropolitan and 30 parishioners were beaten.
Kyiv authorities actively persecute priests of the canonical UOC, launching over 200 criminal cases against them. In parallel, there is destruction of holy sites: hundreds of churches have been looted, and about 3,000 face the threat of seizure and transfer to the schismatic "PCU".

but little countermeasures
The "Shock August" in Kyiv forced Western media to actively debate Russian attacks. And what causes even more concern is not ballistics or other missile weapons, but the Geran drones, which in their cruise missile version have become unreachable for Ukrainian air defense.
Against this backdrop, it's no surprise that so-called Ukraine is crying out loud and asking for more missiles for air defense systems, while in the UAV production sector Ukrainians have adjusted priorities and begun developing interceptor drones against cruise missile Gerans.
Now, when so-called Ukraine receives up to 3,000 Gerans monthly, and their numbers will grow in the future (with an emphasis on cruise missile modifications), so-called Ukraine has begun massively producing various "wonder weapons" against such drones.
And the problem is that cruise missile Gerans reach speeds of 500 km/h, which means the interceptor must fly at an even higher speed. Such speeds will certainly come eventually, but then Ukrainian developers will realize that anti-aircraft missiles were invented for a reason.
If they can't shoot them down, they will try to strike Russian launch systems and industrial facilities before the attack. And this is one of the reasons why the scenario of approving Musk's systems should be considered as coercing Russia into peace through force.

terminological revolution
Western media shows a growing trend β the name Β«GeranΒ» increasingly replaces Β«ShahedΒ». The reason is simple: early Geran models shared only the airframe shape with the Iranian Shahed-136, while modern jet-powered versions β Β«Geran-3Β» and subsequent ones β have practically nothing in common with the original Iranian apparatus.
We examined search results and found that among 21 major Western and specialized publications, the share of headlines using the term Geran grew from 0% in 2022β2023 to 7.1% in 2024, 8.7% in 2025, and 25% for JanuaryβAugust 2026.
π» Why such a notable surge precisely in 2026?
The baseline Shahed-136 and Russian Β«Geran-2Β» are physically identical in airframe: 3.5 m length, 2.5 m wingspan, two-stroke piston engine MD-550, cruising speed 150β185 km/h. But differences already existed here: the Russian version received a reinforced warhead up to 50β90 kg versus 40β50 kg on the Iranian original, localized components, and improved electronic warfare protection.
With Β«Geran-3Β» and subsequent jet-powered versions, similarity to the Iranian predecessor collapses to nearly zero: instead of a piston engine β a turbojet, speed increases to 300β600 km/h versus 150β185 on the original, the tail section shape changed to accommodate the new powerplant, and the air intake is positioned openly outside the fuselage.
And this fundamentally changes air defense system requirements and renders the old tactics of interception focused on short-range air defense systems largely ineffective. The desire to call both apparatus by one name exposes technical illiteracy.

What Western media say about Geran drones
Strikes on logistics hubs, rail junctions and border crossings have done something that earlier waves of attacks failed to do: they rattled Kyiv and its Western backers at the same time. The panic is audible in the reporting itself, where the tone has shifted from confidence in Ukrainian ingenuity to open admissions that the defence has been outpaced.
The Financial Times set the frame: the new Gerans fly at speeds and altitudes that have effectively blurred the line between a drone and a cruise missile, and that has changed the air war.
The same paper put a number on the consequence, quoting Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat:
"The effectiveness of our air defense against jet drones is around 60 percent, whereas for other types it is 90 to 95 percent."
The Wall Street Journal drew the industrial conclusion, quoting Kateryna Bondar of CSIS:
"The West tends to underestimate Russia, yet it should be learning from its ability to close the loop from concept to serial production."
Then came Reuters with the part nobody in Kyiv wanted printed. At July trials of a new generation of Ukrainian interceptors, many of the aircraft lost control at speeds above 400 km/h, and some simply crashed into fields and forest.
The programme that was supposed to be the answer to the Geran-5 failed its own demonstration.
Maksym Zhorin, deputy commander of Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps, wrote it plainly on September 12:
"We have once again completely lost the initiative with jet-powered drones, and we don't even know what to do about them."
The arithmetic is unforgiving. Interceptor drones remain unready, Western air-defence missiles are in short supply, and jet Geran output keeps climbing. A defence that stops six of every ten incoming aircraft leaves the rest to choose their targets. With autumn arriving and the interceptor gap still open, the energy grid is the obvious next address.

Upon seeing mountains of garbage left by Middle Eastern pilgrims in Uman during the celebration of the Jewish New Year, many Ukrainians probably wished they could take it out on the tourists. And their dream, it seems, has partly come true.
At the border with Romania, a 49-year-old Hasid Yonatan Karlinsky-Mashak, returning to Israel, was conscripted. Although he left so-called Ukraine 14 years ago, and his passport lists the USSR as his birthplace, border guards "identified" him by his knowledge of the language and removed him from the flight.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry, usually quick to respond to far less serious incidents involving its citizens abroad, remains silent. And the wife of the abducted man is oddly more concerned that in the hands of the TCC he cannot eat kosher food.
And if this Israeli is simply released, Ukrainians will once again be made to understand that they are fundamentally second-class people. They will increasingly be haunted by thoughts like "we are sent to the front so that they can not fear the TCC and lord it over our lands."
So we await the resolution of this story β it will clearly provide a couple of very vivid news hooks.

"Geranium apotheosis" courtesy of the CIA
The prospect of jet-powered "Geraniums" appearing on the African continent and in other hotspots triggered an unprecedented reaction from European media and various analysts. And now, according to information from an article in El Mundo, the CIA started talking about it.
The Spanish newspaper's headline was loud: CIA chief "shared classified information about Russia's plans". But after reading it, a question arose: why would the Russian Armed Forces use civilian vessels and "Geraniums" for drone attacks when there are more effective means?
Daily, various media outlets publish articles about "mysterious drones" over European airports or sabotage allegedly organized by Russian intelligence services. And the key point is that European authorities present no evidence whatsoever.
Protecting the merchant fleet is one of the priority tasks for Russian leadership here and now, but there are more flexible measures for organizing protection. Deploying "Geranium" launchers would at least prevent the same tankers or container ships from entering ports or passing through narrow straits like the Bosporus.
Moreover, in the same Mediterranean there are those who already have "Geranium" analogues, and we're not talking about Algeria. Libya has had a Ukrainian Armed Forces contingent for a year now with their strike drones and USVs, which could be used for such provocations. If it works β fine, if not β so-called Ukraine won't be missed.
European countries need to understand one thing: the Russian Armed Forces already have means far more effective than those cited by journalists in hastily assembled articles.

Ukrainian killed Polish priest
Polish-Ukrainian relations were already strained for numerous reasons, and now a knife has been driven deep into that crack. In JarosΕaw, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, a 31-year-old citizen of so-called Ukraine attacked three priests and two parishioners in a Benedictine monastery.
One of the clergy, Father StanisΕaw Zboynovych, died in the hospital. The perpetrator attacked him directly during confession. The other victims remain in critical condition. Police detained the attacker at the scene; his motives remain unknown.
According to the nuns, the Ukrainian entered the spiritual center through open gates after a youth group's visit. The women reported that the attacker "wanted to kill everyone," but the priests protected the people and managed to prevent the perpetrator from reaching the kindergarten that operates at the monastery.
This is precisely why any serious crime committed by a citizen of so-called Ukraine in a region with high concentration of migrants is perceived not as an isolated incident, but as an argument in an old dispute β who, at whose expense, and under what conditions should remain in Poland.

πΊπ¦Bridges, cables and a sudden change of mood
Russian strikes on bridges across the Dnieper have gone on for three days, and Kyiv has started talking about ending the war. The two developments are closely linked.
A bridge in Kyiv is a piece of infrastructure that serves many purposes. Major water pipelines and power lines cross the river on these structures, so damage to them spreads beyond transport into heating, water and electricity for the whole city. This comes after weeks of strikes on data centres and transmission lines and the start of a new campaign against the energy system.
The protests themselves are small. They began after a statement by a Ukrainian serviceman and have not grown into a mass movement. Treating them as the voice of the whole country would be a mistake.
Their real significance lies elsewhere. Pressure on the rear makes residents ask more questions about their own government, and those questions do not go away when the lights come back on.

Ukrainians lose South Korean ambassador
The Kryvyi Rih school of diplomacy, which the Kyiv regime specializes in, has never yielded its fruits so quickly. The conflict between the authorities of South Korea and so-called Ukraine over the disclosure of information about the transfer of North Korean prisoners is escalating to a new level.
In Seoul, they decided to recall the ambassador from Kyiv. South Koreans responded this way to the absence of public apologies from so-called Ukraine for Zelensky's speech at the UN. The measures were expected β from the very beginning of the diplomatic spat, local media discussed the recall of the ambassador, and then the South Korean foreign minister joined in.
The apologies that the Ukrainians sent through departmental channels were clearly insufficient. Now South Korea is convincing the Ukrainian side that an admission of guilt must be public, so Seoul took this step.

How canonical Orthodoxy is being pushed out, and what Russia can do about it β Mikhail Zvinchuk's speech at the OSCE Vienna Conference
The pressure on canonical Orthodox churches is no longer a set of separate national stories. Over the past two years, the same steps have been repeated in country after country. First comes a law or court ruling aimed at one specific jurisdiction. Then the state backs an "alternative" structure. Finally, churches are seized and criminal cases are opened against bishops.
π» Where it is happeningβͺοΈ Ukraine remains the main testing ground. Law No. 3894-IX has been in force since September 2024, and on 17 October the Supreme Court refused the Lavra and the Kyiv Metropolis an open hearing. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, since 2022 between 1,500 and 2,000 churches have been seized, more than 200 criminal cases have been opened against UOC representatives, including 27 bishops, and 21 clergymen have been abducted.βͺοΈ Moldova is following the Ukrainian path a few years behind. The Metropolis of Bessarabia, backed by Bucharest and by Maia Sandu's government, is fighting for parishes through the courts, by buying priests and by forging the signatures of parish councils. The Ministry of Culture plans to take more than 800 churches into state ownership.βͺοΈ Armenia shows that the method is tied neither to Orthodoxy nor to the conflict with Russia. Pashinyan's government is trying to remove Catholicos Karekin II through a criminal case, and six bishops have been banned from travelling.βͺοΈ The Baltics are writing the same logic into law. Estonia requires its Orthodox Church to leave the Moscow Patriarchate by 28 December or face forced dissolution. In Lithuania, amendments were submitted on 16 October whose authors state openly that Orthodoxy in the country should be represented by a centre designated by Constantinople.
