Original song from R2-D2 Operator
Even Marines have a heart.
"GREEN EYES"
https://youtube.com/shorts/a68xrLS0pY0?si=m86WVSMMk5EtXKv2
Lyrics:
Same unit… same fire.
Still can’t touch you.
Green eyes…
You bite your lip when shit gets heavy.
Hair falls across your face…
I wanna push it back, feel it in my hands.
But I can’t. Not here.
War’s a bastard, but I’m still here.
You’re right beside me…
A thousand miles away in my head.
Blonde hair stuck to your neck from the heat and sand,
You tuck it slow behind your ear right before we move in.
I watch every time, green eyes scanning the line,
Mine stay locked on you, you’re the calm in the grind.
Thirty meters apart when we shut it down at night,
I hear you breathing steady, keeps my mind right.
They say don’t get attached in this life we chose,
But fuck it — too late, you already got me exposed.
Green eyes…
You bite your lip when the radio cracks.
Hair falls… I wanna run my thumb on your cheek.
But I can’t. Not here.
War’s a bastard, but I’m still here.
You’re right beside me…
A thousand miles away in my head.
Your voice on comms makes my grip stay firm,
Wanted to grab you today, pull you close and burn.
Taste the sand on your lips, no words, just action,
Instead I gave you that nod — professional reaction.
Cold on the surface, fire underneath,
I’m a Marine, I hold it down, but damn I want that release.
When this mission’s over, I’m coming for real,
Pulling that hair back slow, showing you how I feel.
Green eyes… hold on for me.
I’m coming home to you.
Even Marines have a heart.
