โผ๏ธSWT 2021 Updateโผ๏ธ
All the U.S. Embassies are on Phased Resumption of Routine Visa Services. In other words, โThe resumption of routine visa services, prioritized after services to U.S. citizens, will occur on a post-by-post basis, consistent with the Departmentโs guidance for safely returning our workforce to Department facilities. As post-specific conditions improve, embassy missions will begin providing additional services, culminating eventually in a complete resumption of routine visa services.โ
So, since the U.S. is preparing to distribute vaccines and the conditions are under control and getting better in Uzbekistan, we hope the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent should be resuming routine visa services soon in 2021.

โผ๏ธCOVID-19 Update Message to Students (Phase III)โผ๏ธ
Dear students
We are nearly approaching the end of 2020. All of us have been working very hard to support the success of our students, each other and our university. I would like to take a moment and thank everyone who helped keep the university safe and healthy. Together, we can slow the spread of COVID-19.
We will continue with the Phase III approach - bringing more students back onto campus. Postgraduate and Foundation students have resumed their studies in either face-to-face or an on-line mode(s). From Monday, 14th December, all CPFS (Pre-University) will be resuming their classes on-campus. Level 6 DISSERTATION students who would like to meet with their dissertation Supervisors in either face-to-face or online mode may come to campus during their designated office hours. In addition, Level 4, 5, 6 students who have to make presentations in Teaching Week 12 will be able to choose to present to their tutor in either an online or face-to-face mode. In addition, those Level 6 students who require to use the Bloomberg terminals are able to do so from the ground floor of the library. Moreover, various Club leaders and Students' Union representatives may come to campus and use their office space if they wish.
Once again, may I ask each and every one of you to wear face masks, socially distance and always pay particular attention to hand washing and sanitizing during your visit to the WIUT campus. Health and safety of our staff and students are of the utmost importance at WIUT.
I hope this update is useful. I will continue to write to you throughout the year, providing updates and progress on the current epidemiological situation and on matters that concern your studies with us. Please keep in mind that we are here for you and we are all here for each other.
Please stay safe and warm during these cold pandemic times.

URGENT NEWS
Dear student,
Hope you are doing well
Unfortunately, New Year Ball will be replaced to the next month due to the strict measures from the Government side regarding ยซStudentsยป
First of all, we sincerely apologize, as we took your time and nervous
Secondly, we don't want that you have problems during event, as it could be the "law breaking" and its effects to your future
Although, donโt be upset as we will make This Ball, maybe not โNew Yearโ,but everything will be the same
Sincerely apologizes

SCHEDULE OF EXAMS JANUARY 2021 SEM1.pdf
Dear Students,
I trust all is well and that you are now enjoying a well deserved break following a long semester of study in these very challenging times. I am communicating this email in relation to the forthcoming examinations scheduled for January 2021.
A draft schedule was circulated recently for students and staff to comment on. Significant stakeholder engagement with student representatives, module leaders, Course leaders, management and academic staff occurred. From this engagement a number of decisions were made.
The health, wellbeing and safety of our students and staff are our first priority. This is also in line with government directives. As you know great strides are being made in combating the pandemic, however we are not out of this pandemic period and must act accordingly.
Many of our students reside outside of Tashkent and face significant challenges, not only in travelling to Tashkent, but in sourcing accommodation for a short period to sit face to face examinations and this causes difficulties for many. In addition a number of students are outside of the country, have medical issues and some unfortunately have contracted COVID 19. We particularly wish these students a speedy recovery.
We are also aware of our professional body and accrediting body requirements such as the University of Westminster and external bodies such as ACCA. All assessments must be in line with academic and statutory requirements to ensure all learning objectives are met and WIUT is compliant with all external bodies in conducting assessments.
We also understand that no particular situation is ideal in conducting examinations during a pandemic, yet we must cater for the majority of our student body. We also thank you for your understanding and support during this time. Please note should you have specific challenges please do not hesitate to contact your Module Leader or the Registry as soon as possible. In case if you face serious, unforeseen, unpreventable circumstances that significantly disrupt your ability to undertake assessment, you have a right to submit a Mitigating Circumstances (MC) claim. Further information is available at registrar.wiut.uz.
Based on the above, a decision has been taken at WIUT to not have any face-to-face examinations on campus for January 2021. All examinations will be online take home examinations for this examination period. Some students may have to take one or two examinations in an online mode and invigilated due to professional body requirements. These students will be communicated with directly.
I would like to remind all students of the repercussions of collusion and cheating during the examinations. Such instances will not be tolerated and if a student is found guilty of such offences the repercussions are quite serious and will impact the students academic career both at WIUT and beyond.
Please find attached the revised examination schedule. Further details will be circulated early next week.
Kind regards
Moss Gardeโ

Dear CIFS students,
About high plagiarism rate Turnitin shows
After submitting your CW1, the Turnitin may show high plagiarism rate even if you haven't plagiarized, which could be due to your drafts on Google Docs. We are aware of this. Therefore, please, do not delete the link to Google Docs and the drafts inside. Your cases will be carefully examined and considered on an individual basis. Thanks.
