📃Meeting of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in Bremen with David McAllister
🔹A significant meeting of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) in the federal state of Bremen was held on Thursday, 20 November, with the participation of David McAllister, Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET), a Member of the European Parliament for Germany since 2014, Vice Chair of the European People’s Party (EVP), and Vice Chair of the International Democrat Union (IDU). McAllister attended the event as the special guest.
At this event, organized by IRANISCHE LIBERALE FRAUEN (ilfrauen) and hosted by the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), the Association for Promotion of Open Society (APOS) and a group of Iranian opposition activists also participated, discussing Germany’s and Europe’s foreign policy toward the Islamic Republic during a Q&A session with David McAllister.
During the discussion, Sanaz Behzadi (APOS) highlighted the necessity of designating the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization by the European Union, and stressed the need for clearer support for Iran’s secular and liberal opposition — similar to the support extended to Israel. She underscored the importance of re-evaluating the current policy approaches.

🔹Nationwide Student Support for Prince Reza Pahlavi
Special Report — Amir Kabir Newsletter
Wednesday, February 11, 2026 (22 Bahman 1404)
It is no secret that Iran’s student movement and academic community, as the engine of intellectual production and innovation, have played a fundamental and decisive role in shaping the Lion and Sun Revolution. Despite the pervasive security atmosphere and systematic repression, students have sought to act as the voice of their compatriots and their nation through protest demonstrations, strikes, graffiti, and various forms of public awareness campaigns.
According to investigations conducted by the Amir Kabir Newsletter, to date, students from dozens of universities across the country have issued clear, independent, and separate statements, declaring their solidarity with Prince Reza Pahlavi, the leader of the Lion and Sun Revolution, and expressing their support for him.
Today, coinciding with the 22nd of Bahman and the forty-seventh anniversary of an event that, in the historical memory of Iranians, evokes above all defeat, collapse, and decline, revisiting these statements offers a valuable opportunity to identify the ideological and political rupture of the younger generation from the values and narratives of the 1979 revolution. The language of these texts is unmistakably nationalist, monarchist, and grounded in the lived reality of the streets — a discourse that arises not from nostalgia, but from historical awareness and direct observation of the consequences of a failed ideology.
