📃Reformism is not to Overthrow or Revolution

🔹Behzad Nabavi, a reformist political figure, said in an interview with the Jamaran news website, when defining reformism:

“Reformism means changing the existing situation into a desirable one through legal and peaceful means. It does not seek to overthrow the system, does not intend to use illegal or violent methods, and is not about going after another revolution.”

He added:

“Reformism aims, within this very framework, and through calm and legal methods, to bring the existing situation closer to the desirable condition as defined by reformists.”

Nabavi further stated:

“Of course, I should also say that today I have come to the conclusion that the path of reformism is a very winding, uneven, and difficult one. It is clear that today’s young people have absolutely no patience for such a process—a legal and peaceful process that also proceeds gradually and may take fifty years.”
