There’s a lot of confusion around quantum threats, so here’s the simple version of what actually matters.
It only breaks systems based on discrete log or factoring. That includes standard elliptic-curve cryptography, but not all encryption on the internet.
A quantum computer must focus on a specific public key. There’s no magic “decrypt the whole network” button. Early attacks will be slow and extremely expensive, improving over time from months per key to seconds.
Most internet systems rotate keys frequently. Messaging apps, servers, and TLS infrastructure refresh cryptography much faster than quantum computers will scale in the early phase. The attack surface keeps moving.
Millions of Bitcoin public keys are permanently exposed on-chain, especially pre-Taproot outputs. These static keys sit there forever as fixed targets.
Once quantum machines can break a single ECDSA key, attackers will simply pick high-value exposed wallets. This wouldn’t be a total network collapse - it would be targeted theft.
And because Bitcoin governance is slow to accept cryptographic upgrades, the network may not migrate in time.
● Shielded Zcash never exposes public keys on-chain, so Shor’s algorithm has nothing to attack
● Users can simply move ZEC from transparent addresses into shielded ones to remove quantum exposure
● Zcash can upgrade its cryptography regularly, including adopting post-quantum SNARKs and signatures
● The upcoming Tachyon design removes address exposure entirely, eliminating the core quantum attack surface
The post-quantum era isn’t doomsday for crypto. But right now Bitcoin is structurally vulnerable, while Zcash already has mechanisms, and an upgrade path, to stay safe.

The US has launched an investigation into Chinese mining-hardware giant Bitmain under Operation Red Sunset. Officials are examining whether the company’s machines could be used for surveillance or interference with the American power grid.
The story gained extra heat after a company linked to Donald Trump’s sons bought 16,000 Bitmain miners worth about 314M

Short term holders just sent about 62.4K BTC to exchanges at a loss. That’s classic fear driven behaviour and usually marks the emotional end of a move, not the beginning. Here’s the rest of the picture.
ETF balances are now down about 4.66B from their peak. Investors are exiting fast and the pattern lines up with the March correction.
Net taker volume was hitting negative 100M per hour at the worst point. Now it sits near negative 21M which shows sellers losing momentum.
The early drop came from real selling. The final leg was a clean leverage flush that wiped out open interest across the board.
USDC inflows to exchanges hit about 4.55B in the last day which is the highest on any recent dip. That’s real dry powder preparing to deploy.
Panic selling is here.
Leverage has been cleared.
Stablecoin ammo is rising.
Downside is always possible but the longer this structure holds, the more the upside starts to carry the better risk profile.

The market has clearly shifted into risk off mode. Bitcoin topped early, ahead of equities, and is now about 30% below its all time high.
The rally window played out exactly where it should have, and now the real work begins: patience, discipline, and planning.
A bear market isn’t about hero buys or perfect timing. It’s about choosing an approach you can stick to.
HODLing works if your fiat needs are met and you can stomach deep drawdowns.
DCA works if you prefer steady accumulation without overthinking entries.
A hybrid works if you scale in based on volatility spikes, sentiment collapses, or liquidity events.
Whatever you choose, consistency matters more than precision.
Bitcoin still behaves like a cyclical, time based asset built around halvings.
If cycles hold, the macro bottom likely sits around early Q4 2026.
This doesn’t mean you wait until then. It means you avoid rushing into full exposure too early and let time structure your expectations.
If the cycle shortens, signals will show it.
While rates remain above 3 percent, safe yield exists.
SGOV, WEEK, SHV and other short duration treasury ETFs act as cash alternatives.
On chain options like AAVE or Kamino offer higher yield with higher risk.
Some platforms pay on parked USDC.
The goal is simple: preserve purchasing power while staying liquid for re entry.
There’s never one perfect signal, but confluence gives confidence.
● time: more than nine months from the ATH
● momentum: weekly RSI under 40 and flattening
● sentiment: despair, forced sellers, big names capitulating
● events: the “FTX moment” of the cycle
● structure: reclaiming the 50 week EMA or long term VWAP
● beta: MSTR back above its 200 day SMA
Bottoms form slowly. You don’t need to nail the exact day.
Buying reclaim signals often beats trying to catch falling knives.
Bitcoin rewards patience and discipline. It punishes impatience and size errors.
Protect your liquidity, don’t over leverage, and let the market finish its reset.
The next wave always comes, the key is still being here when it does.
