➡️ The administration blocked plans for a U.S. CBDC and positioned itself as pro-crypto.

➡️ Prediction markets such as Polymarket and Kalshi received a friendlier regulatory environment.

At the same time, controversy followed Trump's own crypto activities.

❌ The TRUMP and MELANIA memecoins generated billions in value and sparked conflict-of-interest accusations.

❌ World Liberty Financial and other Trump-linked crypto ventures faced scrutiny from critics and lawmakers.

The bigger takeaway is that politics can change regulation, but it can't eliminate market cycles.

Despite a crypto-friendly White House, the market still experienced major volatility, proving that even presidential support doesn't guarantee higher prices.

😅 Kraken Negotiates 15% Stake in Aave

Kraken is negotiating to acquire a 15% stake in Aave at a $385 million valuation. The deal involves 35,000 ETH for 250,000 AAVE tokens and 15% of Aave Group shares, about $71 million. Part will be syndicated.

Earlier this year, Aave suffered a hack where attackers minted $292 million in unsecured rsETH, withdrew real assets, leaving a $190–230 million debt. After the deal news, AAVE price rose 9%.

Grayscale released a list of the top 15 on-chain protocols by revenue, stating that many appear fundamentally undervalued. The list includes HYPE, PUMP, AAVE, UNI, RAY, CAKE, JUP, LDO, ETHFI, WLD, and MET.

☠️ 70% of Tokens on Pumpfun Stop Trading at Launch

Analysts at CoinGecko found that around 70% of tokens on the Pumpfun platform cease trading on their launch day. Researchers examined 18.6 million assets created from January 2024 to June 2026, with 12.8 million (68.6%) recording their last trade on release day.

Within the first two days, 80% of all launched coins stopped activity. Only 4.5% of assets traded beyond three months.

📉 PlanB Predicts Bitcoin May Drop Below $53,000

PlanB, creator of the Stock-to-Flow model, believes Bitcoin is likely to form a bottom below its Realized Price, currently around $53,000.

He notes that in previous bear cycles, Bitcoin always fell below this level. The current Realized Price closely matches the 200-week geometric moving average, which PlanB sees as a key zone for bottom formation.

🪙 Grayscale Urges Strategy to Sell $3B in Bitcoin

Grayscale research head Zach Pandle urged Strategy to sell at least $3 billion in Bitcoin to cover most of its cash obligations over the next two years and restore market confidence in its capital structure.

In its latest 8-K filing with the SEC, Strategy reported a dollar reserve increase of $300 million to $1.4 billion, enough to cover about 14 months of dividends on its preferred shares STRC with an annual commitment near $1.2 billion.
