Visa, Mastercard, and BlackRock launched Open Standard (OUSD) with 140+ partners including Stripe and Coinbase.

Led by Zac Abrams, Open Standard offers free transactions, earnings from reserves, and partner governance—unlike USDC and Tether.

Open USD allows free minting/redeeming with no limits. Partners receive all reserve income minus a small fee. Governance is by a partner council.

Stripe made Open USD its default stablecoin. Official launch is planned later this year.

Tokenized shares of Ondo Finance (ONDO) are now available on Uniswap.

Users can trade tokenized assets of leading companies like SpaceX, Tesla, NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon, as well as major market ETFs such as QQQ and SPY, directly through the Uniswap interface.

✋ Venice AI Raises $65M at $1B Valuation

Venice AI raised $65 million in a Series A led by Dragonfly, Coinbase Ventures, and North Island Ventures, reaching a $1 billion valuation two years after launch.

It hosts uncensored open-source AI models on its servers and routes requests to closed models from OpenAI and Anthropic. The company reports $70 million annual revenue, profitability, 3 million active users, and 1.7 million API requests daily.

Funds will buy GPUs and build proprietary data centers.

Trump filed his 2025 financial report, declaring $1.4 billion in income.

🤖 OpenAI Offered US Government 5% Stake

OpenAI reportedly offered Trump's administration a 5% stake in the company to reduce political risks and "share AI benefits with society," according to Financial Times.

The stake was intended to be placed in a special fund similar to the Alaska Permanent Fund. With OpenAI valued at $852 billion, this share would be worth about $42.6 billion.

Vitalik Buterin has released the updated Lean Ethereum roadmap, outlining a series of changes comparable in scale to the shift to Proof-of-Stake. The plan includes overhauls to consensus, verification systems, data storage architecture, and cryptography.

ERC20 tokens and most DeFi protocols are expected to reduce fees by more than 10 times. Privacy is set as a top priority, with quantum security becoming a key focus. Existing applications will continue operating without changes.

The upcoming Hegota fork will be the last "old" update before the Lean era begins.
