💥 CLARITY Act Could Face Delay

Cynthia Lummis warned that if Congress does not pass the CLARITY Act in the current session, the next real chance to revisit it may come only in four years, potentially delaying it until 2030.

A key Senate vote is scheduled for 15 September. The bill needs at least 60 votes to advance. Polymarket currently puts the odds of passage by the end of 2026 at just 17%.

🔹 Ethereum Gas Without ETH

On August 27, Ethereum developers moved EIP-8141 (Frame Transactions) to “planned for inclusion” in the Hegotá upgrade, due in 2027.

The app or another account could pay gas. A service could accept stablecoins and settle with the network in ETH. Multiple actions could also be bundled, with failed swaps automatically revoking token approvals.

Accounts could set custom authorization rules and change control keys without moving assets to a new address.

An unknown trader turned $1,300 into about $2.17 million on ZCAT, buying 24.52 million ZCAT. The remaining position is worth roughly $2.12 million, a 1,626x return.

CZ saw what Robinhood was doing with memes for shitcoins, dubbed MemeFi, a mix of TradFi and memefi, and decided to do the same.

BNB has its own DAT company with 515K BNB, trading at 0.47x its reserves. It went onchain through BNC4, with the 4Stock meme launched for the token.

4Stock now has a $47M valuation, and many quickly made 6-7 figures. Frankdegods is up $250K, while 0xLingard is up $400K.

🧠 AI Safety Warning

Geoffrey Hinton and OpenAI chief scientist Jakub Pachocki urged slowing AI development. Hinton said pursuing superintelligence without scientific consensus on safety or control could lead to the loss of control over AI smarter than humans, and possibly extinction.

The call followed the Artificial Superintelligence Security Bill, introduced in the UK Parliament on 8 September by ControlAI and Alex Sobel. Pachocki said models already research autonomously and recursive self-improvement is near, urging a voluntary slowdown until common safety standards emerge.

🇺🇸 Treasury Bond Buyback

The US Treasury will buy back up to $6 billion of bonds maturing in 2037–2046.

The limit was tripled. It rose from $2 billion per operation to at least $4 billion from September 9, while the September 10 operation is capped at $6 billion, among the largest recent buybacks in this segment.

The move is moderately positive for markets. Extra Treasury demand could support bond prices and lower yields, easing financial conditions and making risk-free assets less competitive with equities, BTC and other risk assets.

💻 LAPTOP Trader Loses $197,000

Today, one trader invested $200,000 in LAPTOP and almost entirely lost the position shortly after launch.

The trader withdrew $250,000 from Binance and bought 919 LAPTOP at an average price of about $218. After the crash, the position was worth about $3,000, leaving an unrealized loss of $197,000, or roughly 99%.

Hunter Biden on LAPTOP: “Team tokens are locked. No one on our side sold or could sell. I personally made no money.”

It fell 95–99% from nearly $200 in its first hours on Base. 80% of traders, 12,151 of 15,206 wallets, lost money.

Biden called it a liquidity shortage, not a rug pull, citing demand, sniper bots and technical failures. Team tokens are locked 6 months, with 2 years of vesting.

His foundation will add 4 million tokens to liquidity pools and burn 10 million more.

⚙️ Trump Promises $5,000 Payments

Trump promised $5,000 to every adult in the US if Republicans retain control of the House of Representatives and Senate after the midterm elections.

With 240 million adults, the total would be about $1.2 trillion. Trump called the funding source the “huge economic success” of his policies. The statement came amid a decline in his rating.

Sam Bankman-Fried asked the US Supreme Court to overturn his conviction and $11 billion forfeiture.

His defense says the court barred evidence that FTX and Alameda had enough assets to repay customers. Bankman-Fried is serving a 25-year sentence. The court has not decided whether to hear the case.
