From #ktrhnews: "U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico (D-TX) has been trying to walk back some of his most radical positions, like on gender and climate change. And the liberal left-wing media is all in.
Case in point, the leftist funded Texas Tribune, which wrote a lengthy propaganda piece on how Talarico will remain a moderate once he gets elected.
"The Tribune copy editors forgot how to spell, they clearly misspelled the word L-Y-I-N-G" said State Representative, Brian Harrison (R-TX), "Because moderating is not what he's doing."
If anyone would know, it's Harrison who has had to work alongside Talarico for years in the Texas House.
"I know James Talarico, I have for better or for worse served with him for many years now, and make know mistake about it, James Talarico is more liberal than Bernie Sanders" Harrison told KTRH.
Talarico's past comments, and voting records, back that up. So, it's no surprise that the 'mainstream' media is trying to help with his extreme makeover.
"I think he's more radical than that lunatic that he defeated, Jasmine Crockett" noted Harrison, "There has never been a more liberally extreme candidate who is more out of touch with the views of patriotic, hard working Texans, than James Talarico. He must be defeated at the ballot box."
Election Day is now just 41 days."

Shocking numbers!!... TxLege has increased spending at rates that would make DC Democrats blush!! LITERALLY!!...
Everyone knows the federal government has a spending problem… but most people have no idea that the TEXAS GOVERNMENT is FAR outpacing them!
In the last five years, Texas has increased spending at nearly TWICE the rate of the federal government!!
Instead of ELIMINATING PROPERTY TAXES… TxLege has wasted your hard earned money on liberal pet projects like Hollywood subsidies, DEI, transgender indoctrination, and corporate welfare for data centers and other rich corporations!!
Betrayal!
CUT SPENDING!!
ELIMINATE PROPERTY TAXES!!
MAKE TEXAS FREE AGAIN!!

Soft-on-crime socialist governments should have no say on how we prosecute alleged murderers in Texas.

More winning!… This is why the Austin swamp hates me!
From #statesman: On social media Friday, state Rep. Brian Harrison, R-Midlothian, posted a screenshot of a UNT Libraries webpage advertising the collection and suggested that taxpayer money was being used to fund “transgender indoctrination” at the public university.
By Saturday, the webpage about the archival collection led to an error message.
In a post, Harrison took credit for the site’s removal. He also called on UNT to “end the program, not just a website.”
“It needs to be gone,” he said in an interview Tuesday, referring to the collection.
“The Texas government has no business whatsoever using tax dollars to promote the transgender agenda.”
The webpage’s removal marks the latest instance of Harrison’s social media crusade to eradicate LGBTQ topics at Texas universities.
Harrison’s post last year of a Texas A&M University professor discussing gender identity in her course led to the professor’s firing and the university president’s resignation.
The incident brought increased scrutiny to state universities, spurring course content reviews at multiple universities, including UNT, and new restrictions on classroom content related to race and gender.
On Tuesday, Harrison said he had communicated with UNT “over their liberal indoctrination” before
his posts last week. When he found the webpage, he was “incensed because I had assurances that this kind of stuff was going to stop, and the fact that it wasn’t upset me.”

From #DailySignal: "Following pushback from a Texas legislator, the University of North Texas has taken down its public-facing LGBTQ Archive page from the university library’s website.
Last week, Republican state Rep. Brian Harrison highlighted that the university had an archival collection documenting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer history on its library website.
According to the now-removed site, “The Resource Center Collection was the initial acquisition to the LGBTQ Archive and is the largest collection of LGBTQ history in north Texas, with over 600 linear feet of materials.”
The collection included documents about people, organizations, and events in LGBTQ+ history, including the first Dallas Pride Parade, the Dallas Buyers Club, and the Dallas Gay Alliance.
Harrison posted about the collection last week, expressing frustration that a taxpayer-funded institution had a collection “promoting transgenderism.”
“My constituents are being taxed out of their homes … and their money is being used to promote TRANSGENDER INDOCTRINATION!!!!” Harrison wrote on X. “Public universities are for education … not leftist indoctrination!”
Hours after Harrison mentioned the site to the public, the university took down the webpage, which now displays a “Page Not Found” message.
Harrison celebrated the removal of the webpage, writing on X that the University of North Texas “must end the program, not just a website.”
However, the webpage’s removal was not celebrated by everyone.
On Thursday, Harrison shared an email that he received from a senior lecturer in the university’s Department of Anthropology who called Harrison “fragile” and said he should “be embarrassed” for getting the page taken down.
Harrison redacted the professor’s name but shared portions of her university biography, which showed that she is affiliated with the University of North Texas’ Women’s and Gender Studies program and teaches several courses on race and ethnicity, gender and culture, and LGBTQ+ studies.
Harrison told the Daily Signal that he’s “fed up with hard-working Texans having their own money weaponized against them, their children, and their values.”
“I’ve single handedly done more to end taxpayer funded DEI and transgender indoctrination and conduct real legislative oversight than all the rest of the Texas government combined, and this is just the latest conservative victory I’ve forced from agencies and universities,” Harrison said. “UNT’s LGBTQ library archive is further proof Texans are still being taxed out of their homes and forced to fund leftist indoctrination.”
“The purpose of taxpayer-funded higher education in Texas is to train the workforce of tomorrow and strengthen our economy,” he added. “If someone wants to study transgender literature, fine, but do it with your own damn money.”

Finally!... a reporter covering the real SCANDAL!
From #thecentersquare: Multi-billion-dollar and trillion-dollar companies continue to receive taxpayer funds to expand operations in Texas.
The latest is Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc., which has a $314 billion market cap valuation, as of Sept. 28.
The financial services company is establishing a new hub in Dallas and receiving nearly $44 million in taxpayer money to do it.
Critics argue TEF is corporate welfare and companies would expand operations in Texas anyway because of Texas’ business friendly policies. The grants impose additional costs on cities “in the form of reduced revenues and increased liabilities,” and there’s no meaningful measurement to quantify incentives to economic well-being, the Better Cities Project has argued, The Center Square reported.
State Rep. Brian Harrison, R-Midlothian, said that Morgan Stanley getting millions in taxpayer money was another example of “Outrageous corporate welfare. Morgan Stanley does not need $44 MILLION of my constituents’ hard-earned money. Politicians (in both parties) need to stop robbing taxpayers blind to give money to rich corporations! END CORPORATE WELFARE!!! END PROPERTY TAXES!!!!”
Morgan Stanley is the latest company to receive millions in taxpayer funds. Last week, the trillion-dollar pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly received a $5.5 million TEF grant. SpaceX, valued at more than $1.7 trillion, received $30 million in TEF grants and two local school districts are losing millions of dollars in property taxes through another JETI grant, The Center Square reported.
The Center for Economic Accountability has long called on the governor and legislature to end TEF and other taxpayer funded grants, arguing they “make local economies less free, less fair, less inclusive, less resilient, less entrepreneurial, less innovative and more biased in favor of large incumbent businesses.
“Academic research and real-world experience demonstrate that economic development incentives do not create any more jobs or economic growth than would have happened otherwise,” The Center Square reported.

More insane: years after this happened, our current "Republican" Speaker would appoint Talarico as VICE-CHAIR of Academic and Career Oriented Education!!... a position he still holds!!!
And not a word of opposition from #TXGOPCaucus.
Democrats control the Texas House!!!
And not a word of opposition from #TXGOPCaucus.
Democrats control the Texas House!!!
🚨TALARICO MUST BE REMOVED FROM HOUSE LEADERSHIP... IMMEDIATELY!!!
Republicans should be doing everything possible to defeat radical Talarico!...
Instead... our "Republican" Speaker is HELPING TALARICO by appointing and keeping him as VICE-CHAIR of multiple committees... including "Academic and Career Oriented Education" in the Texas House!!...
And he's giving Talarico MORE TAX DOLLARS for his office than he is giving most House Republicans!!
Betrayal!!
I am renewing my (months old) call for Speaker #Burrows4TX to immediately REMOVE TALARICO FROM HOUSE LEADERSHIP!!!
Why is the #TXGOPCaucus supporting a Speaker who is EMPOWERING TALARICO!?!??

Today is the anniversary of the debut of the “Come and Take It” flag and the Battle of Gonzales.
The founding fathers of our great state put EVERYTHING on the line to secure freedom and liberty for generations to come… and they didn’t back down from a fight most believed they would lose.
Thank God these brave heroes were NOT “go along to get along” types!
Today, we want to believe that spirit lives on… and I believe it definitely does in most Texans!
But, unfortunately, too many politicians seem to have forgotten that spirit.
Texas needs leaders with courage to fight for what’s right, even if it costs them, to preserve LIBERTY for years to come!!
I haven’t forgotten our founding story, or the sacrifices so many made so we can enjoy the freedoms our Creator intended.
And that’s why I’m so committed to fighting for you, freedom, and the great state of Texas!
Let’s honor the sacrifices of those who came before us by redoubling our commitment to making Texas the leading lighthouse of liberty on Earth!
