She continued: “The president reached up toward the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel. Mr. Engel grabbed his arm and said, ‘Sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel, we’re going back to the West Wing. We’re not going to the Capitol.’”
“Mr. Trump then used his free hand to lunge towards Bobby Engel and when [former White House operations chief Anthony] Ornato had recounted the story to me, he had motioned towards his clavicles.”

恩格爾當時抓住川普的手臂說，「先生，你必須將手從方向盤上拿開。我們要回到白宮西廂」。哈欽森說有人跟她說，川普當時向前暴衝，好像抓住恩格爾的脖子。
哈欽森援引另一名助手奧納托（Tony Ornato）的說詞稱，事後恩格爾看起來很困惑。
