數日前國際奧委會 (IOC)發聲明，稱曾與彭帥第二度視像通話以確認後者平安。言猶在耳，今日較早時候IOC發言人在被記者問及時表示，IOC不知道真實的全部亦不能作出任何保證：
"We can't provide you with absolute certainty on anything.”
"We can't give assurances and we don't know the full facts. It's a full road map to at least attempt to keep in touch and to see where she is."
