I've noticed recently that Little Snitch gives me this kind of rule requests for some applications, and it's impossible to set the rule to be valid forever.

Having googled for "App Translocation", I discovered that it is enough just to move the application in question with Finder (apparently, that's important) somewhere and back and then it will run normally, and Little Snitch will allow you to create "forever" rules for it.

I mostly use ForkLift, so if it's really about Finder, then probably that's how I got this app being "stuck" in Translocation mode.

Oh, so with Mac OS 10.14.4 Photos are back to preview with Space, reverting to the way it was before? What was the point then in breaking that by introducing Enter, contrary to the rest of the system?

Some tiny creations I've come up with recently:

1. A Mac OS service for getting media information about streams in a video file, mostly in order to find out whether it has subtitles;
2. An Alfred workflow that shortens URLs using TinyURL.

Finally found the time to investigate how to connect to the internet via Huawei E3372 modem on Mac OS using only the native tools.

After BlueMail e-mail client sued Apple for removing BlueMail application from the App Store, I've learnt about BlueMail's existence. And since I am constantly looking for a The Bat! alternative on Mac OS, I installed BlueMail to try it out.

And I uninstalled it a couple of minutes later, because:

1. It is based on Electron, so it automatically goes to hell;
2. Apparently, adding an e-mail account means that BlueMail will store your credentials on BlueMail servers. I can't even start to explain how retarded that is. As far as I remember, Spark e-mail client does the same.

Can you believe this fucking "modern" "software development".

There are some weird issues with matplotlib animation backend on Mac OS, while on Windows and Linux it just works out of the box.

We were looking for a wiki with Markdown markup, but surprisingly the choice is quite poor. And out of what's available, Gollum seems to be the best option.

RetroShare version 0.6.6 did not (still doesn't?) have a version for Mac OS at the time of release, so I've built it. Also finally tried it out myself.
