News Helicopter Crash in Los Angeles
A news helicopter covering a deadly bus collision in Los Angeles crashed Tuesday evening in the Chatsworth area, killing three people. The victims included NBC4/Telemundo 52 aerial journalist Eliana Moreno, pilot George Marciniw, and a person on the ground. The helicopter burst into flames after the crash.
The cause remains under investigation by federal authorities. Investigators are examining video from the helicopter’s final moments, which captured an alarm and a rapid loss of altitude.
