*FRIDAY UAE KHUTBA 08-05-2026* 🎙️🇦🇪
✨*🤲🏻 Our Precious Mothers❤️* ✨
All praise is due to Allah, who has made honouring mothers among the greatest acts of obedience, and disobedience to them among the gravest sins. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that our master and Prophet Muḥammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah, send Your blessings, peace, and grace upon him, his family, his companions, and those who follow his guidance thereafter.
To proceed: I advise you, O servants of Allah, and myself to have taqwā (consciousness of Allah). Allah, the Exalted said:
“Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, receiving what their Lord has given them. Indeed, before that they were doers of good.” (Qurʾān 51:15–16)
O believers: our talk today is about our precious, compassionate mothers—whose supplications are answered, and who are a source of blessings. In our Sharīʿah, they hold a lofty station and noble rank.
ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him) used to ask every delegation that came to him: “Is Uways ibn ʿĀmir among you?” He continued doing so until he met him and said: “Are you Uways?” He replied: “Yes.” ʿUmar said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ أُوَيْسُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ...
‘Uways ibn ʿĀmir will come to you… He has a mother to whom he is dutiful. If he were to swear by Allah, Allah would fulfill it. So if you are able to ask him to seek forgiveness for you, then do so.’ (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
So ʿUmar asked him to seek forgiveness for him, and he did. Reflect, O servants of Allah, how ʿUmar—this great Companion, one of those promised Paradise—was keen to seek the supplication of Uways solely because of his dutifulness to his mother. What a rank the mother holds with Allah! What an immense status she has with Him!
So, much so that Allah commanded His prophets to honor her. ʿĪsā (peace be upon him) said:
“And He has enjoined upon me prayer and charity as long as I live, and [He made me] dutiful to my mother.”
(Qurʾān 19:31–32)
Meaning: fulfilling her rights, showing her kindness, honouring her, being gentle and compassionate toward her.
Yes, O servants of Allah—it is the mother, whose virtue and efforts our Lord calls us to remember:
“And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents; his mother carried him, increasing her in weakness upon weakness.” (Qurʾān 31:14)
Did your mother not rejoice when she learned of her pregnancy? Your body grew from her body. She bore your weight despite her weakness, and the more you grew, the greater her hardship. In giving birth to you, she endured pains beyond description:
“His mother carried him with hardship and gave birth to him with hardship.” (Qurʾān 46:15)
Yet when she saw you, she forgot her pain and attached all her hopes to you. Then she served you tirelessly—never falling short, never growing weary. She made her lap your bed, and her chest your nourishment. She would not sleep until you slept. She carried your worries, felt your pain, rejoiced in your joy, and was delighted by your smile. How much she deprived herself for your sake, preferring your comfort over her own needs! By Allah, even if you spent all your wealth to please her, you would never fulfil her right.

How much she deprived herself for your sake, preferring your comfort over her own needs! By Allah, even if you spent all your wealth to please her, you would never fulfil her right.
So how can a person withhold a few coins from his mother and break her heart—when she never withheld from him her wealth and surrounded him with her tenderness? How can he wrong her with a harsh glance, a hurtful word, by raising his voice at her, or speaking harshly to her?! Has he not heard that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Indeed, Allah has forbidden you from disobedience to mothers…” (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
O you who are dutiful to your mother: balance between the rights of your mother, your wife, your children, and your work. It is not just that you become preoccupied with others at the expense of your mother.
Do you not know that she may spend her entire day waiting for your visit—so her heart may be delighted by seeing you—or for your call—so her soul may find comfort in hearing your voice? Have you not seen how our Lord described the state of the mother of Mūsā (peace be upon him) when her son was taken from her?
“And the heart of the mother of Moses became empty.” (Qurʾān 28:10)
So, what then of a mother who waits for you but does not see you, longs for your voice but does not hear it? When the day ends and her hope is unmet, her heart breaks. Where is your heart? Where is your dutifulness?
How can you be distracted from her, when our Prophet ﷺ gave her precedence over all others? A man came to him and said: “O Messenger of Allah, who is most deserving of my good companionship?” He said:
“Your mother.” Then your mother. Then your mother.” He said: “Then who?” He said: “Then your father.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
And it is no surprise—for honouring one’s mother is among the greatest acts of obedience and the most complete forms of righteousness. Ibn ʿAbbās (may Allah be pleased with them both) said:
“I do not know of any deed closer to Allah than honoring one’s mother.” (al-Bukhārī in al-Adab al-Mufrad)
So, strive in honouring your mother, and act upon the saying of your Lord: “O you who believe, obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you.” (Qurʾān 4:59) I say these words of mine, and I seek forgiveness from Allah for myself and for you—so seek His forgiveness.
*Second Sermon*
All praise is due to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet.
To proceed: O you who are dutiful to your mother—indeed your mother is a treasure before you and the greatest wealth you possess. So, seize the opportunity of her presence and hasten to honour her before she returns to her Lord. For then you will regret your shortcomings in her right and wish that you had kissed her hands and her head and taken your fill of her tenderness. You will wish that you had spent your life sitting before her, looking at her, and devoting yourself to her service.
So, make up for what has passed, and hasten before it is too late. For the Prophet ﷺ said:
“May his nose be humbled in dust, then may his nose be humbled in dust, then may his nose be humbled in dust— the one who finds his parents, one or both of them, in old age, and does not enter Paradise.” (Ahmad)
So, attend to your mother, strive in honouring her—for that is the command of your Lord, the guidance of your Prophet ﷺ, and the heritage of your society. Indeed, in the United Arab Emirates, we raise generations to honour mothers, fulfil their rights, and show them kindness. They are the ones who give birth to heroes and raise men—so they become a fortress for the nation, its shield, its strength, and its support.
So, greetings of reverence and appreciation to them—and beware, beware of disobedience to them. For dutifulness and disobedience are debts that will be repaid.

So, greetings of reverence and appreciation to them—and beware, beware of disobedience to them. For dutifulness and disobedience are debts that will be repaid.
So, choose for yourself what you offer your mother, for you will reap tomorrow what you sow today from your righteousness.
As for the one who has been afflicted by the loss of his mother—let him know that the doors of dutifulness have not been closed, and the paths of kindness to her have not been exhausted. So illuminate her grave with a righteous supplication and bring joy to her soul through a continuous charity. For the Prophet ﷺ said:
“When a human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: a continuous charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who supplicates for him.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
So, increase in supplication:
“And say: My Lord, have mercy upon them as they raised me when I was small.” (Qurʾān 17:24)
Seek forgiveness for her, fulfil her debts, honour her vows, carry out her commitments, fulfil her promises, and maintain ties with her relatives—especially her sisters.
“The maternal aunt holds the position of the mother.” (Tirmidhī)
A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a grave sin—do I have repentance?” He said:
“Do you have a mother?” He said: “No.” He said: “Do you have a maternal aunt?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “Then be dutiful to her.” (Tirmidhī)
This—so send your prayers and peace, O Allah, and bless our master and Prophet Muḥammad, the Seal of the Messengers, and upon his family, his pure wives—the Mothers of the Believers—and his noble companions. O Allah, be pleased with Abū Bakr, ʿUmar, ʿUthmān, and ʿAlī, and with all the noble companions. O Allah, forgive us for our shortcomings toward our mothers, and grant us the ability to honour them in their lives and after their passing. O Allah, have mercy on our mothers as they raised us when we were young, and reward them on our behalf with the best of rewards.
O Allah, we ask You for the completion of blessings, the continuity of well-being, the perfection of goodness, and the most beautiful gentleness.
O Allah, protect the United Arab Emirates from all directions. O Allah, we entrust to You its leadership, its people, and all who live on its land. O Allah, protect our armed forces, support them, grant them success, guide them, and grant them victory—for they are our strong shield, our firm fortress, and a means of our safety and reassurance. O Allah, reward our brave soldiers with the best and most complete reward, the greatest and most generous recompense. Strengthen their resolve, guide their aim, and grant them victory over Your enemies and theirs. O Allah, deal with the aggressors who spread فساد (corruption) on the earth and do not reform, who plot against Your servants, and who violate the sanctity of the sacred month. O Allah, protect Sheikh Muḥammad bin Zayed, the President of the State, with Your protection. Be for him a helper, a supporter, a guide, and one who grants him success. Bless his life and his deeds. O Allah, grant success to him, his deputies, and his brothers—the rulers of the Emirates—and his trustworthy Crown Prince—in what You love and are pleased with.
O Allah, protect our mother, the Mother of the Emirates, Sheikha Fāṭimah bint Mubārak. Grant her health and well-being, continue Your blessings upon her outwardly and inwardly, bless her life and her work, and place what she offers of goodness, initiatives, and care for mothers in the scale of her good deeds. O Allah, have mercy on Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Rashid, and the sheikhs of the Emirates who have passed on to Your mercy, and admit them by Your grace into Your spacious gardens. O Allah, envelop the martyrs of the nation in Your vast mercy and raise their ranks in Your Paradise.
As for the one who has been afflicted by the loss of his mother—let him know that the doors of dutifulness have not been closed, and the paths of kindness to her have not been exhausted. So illuminate her grave with a righteous supplication and bring joy to her soul through a continuous charity. “When a human being dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: a continuous charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who supplicates for him.” (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
So, increase in supplication:

O Allah, have mercy on the believing men and believing women—the living among them and the deceased.
O servants of Allah: remember Allah, the Great and Majestic, and He will remember you. Be grateful to Him for His blessings, and He will increase you. And establish the prayer.

The First Sermon
All praise belongs to God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful, who made the father the middle gate of Paradise. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, and I bear witness that our master and Prophet Muḥammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger. O Allah, send prayers, peace, and blessings upon him, upon his family, his companions, and all who follow his guidance thereafter.
To proceed: I counsel you, servants of Allah and myself, to have taqwā of Allah. Exalted is He who says:
“And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and honor the ties of kinship. Surely Allah is ever Watchful over you.” (Qurʾān 4:1)
O believers: Our sermon today is about a great man, possessing a merciful heart and a noble station. He is the spring that never runs dry, the river of giving that continually overflows. He is the father. Allah Most High swore by him when He said:
“And by the father and what he fathered.” (Qurʾān 90:3)
And there is no wonder in this, for the father is the pillar of the family and its foundation, its fortress and support, its provider and bearer of responsibility. He surrounds his family with his heart and cares for them with his very soul. Have you seen the concern of Yaʿqūb (peace be upon him) for his son, and the sorrow he felt at his absence, when he said to his sons:
“Indeed, it grieves me that you should take him away.” (Qurʾān 12:13)
And did you not see how his condition changed when he lost him?
“And his eyes turned white from grief, while he suppressed his sorrow.” (Qurʾān 12:84)
Such is the father: he loves without asking anything in return, he gives without seeking payment. He struggles throughout the day, then leaves his worries at the doorstep so he may enter smiling before his children, all while his greatest concern is to see happiness upon their faces. He hopes for them a life nobler than the one he lived and an education better than the one he received. That is the father.
He spends the prime of his life raising and educating his children, spending his cherished wealth for their elevation. He suffers silently, carrying his burdens alone without complaining to his family — out of mercy for them and to protect their hearts.
“And Allah knows well what lies within the hearts.” (Qurʾān 3:154)
How many nights has he remained awake while they slept? How many situations did he endure patiently for their sake while they never realized? Ask the orphan about his state without his father: how much tenderness he lost, how much care and concern, how much support and assistance. How deeply the absence of the father leaves within the heart a void that nothing can replace. How astonishing then is the son who does not appreciate the blessing of his father’s presence: raising his voice against him, frowning in his face, avoiding him, and mocking his opinion. Does he not know that Allah coupled kindness to parents with worship of Him?
“Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you show excellence to your parents.” (Qurʾān 17:23)
Has he not heard the words of the Prophet ﷺ:
“The pleasure of the Lord lies in the pleasure of the father, and the anger of the Lord lies in the anger of the father.” (Reported by al-Tirmidhī)
So fear Allah regarding your fathers. The father’s heart is delicate even if he appears stern. His feelings are sensitive even if he remains silent. He suffers from the disobedience of his child more than he suffers from bodily illness.

His chest tightens from a harsh glance or a hard tone that the son considers insignificant while, to the father, it is immense. So what will become of the undutiful child on the Day of Resurrection?
“The Day every soul will find before it whatever good it has done and whatever evil it has done, wishing there were a great distance between it and that evil.” (Qurʾān 3:30)
On that day he will be questioned about every glance and every word. He will be questioned about his dutifulness and his disobedience, his goodness and his wrongdoing. Therefore, O son: remain committed to honoring your father and serving him, continue obeying him, fulfill his needs, do not quarrel with your siblings and thereby grieve him, seek his counsel, kiss his head and his hand, honor him as he deserves. Learn from Fāṭimah (may Allah be pleased with her) the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who:
“Whenever the Prophet ﷺ entered upon her, she would stand for him, take his hand, kiss him, and seat him in her place.” (Reported by Abū Dāwūd)
Dedicate some of your time to your father. Spend from your wealth upon him. Do not be like the one who withholds from his father wealth that the father himself was the source and cause of. For the Prophet ﷺ said:
“You and your wealth belong to your father.” (Reported by Ibn Mājah)
How could it be otherwise, when he spent upon you in your childhood and strove for your sake throughout his life? Now you have grown, learned, and worked — so what place does your father hold with you?
Have you shared his worries? Have you hastened to honor him? For indeed, he is a gift from Allah for your benefit and an open gate to Paradise. The Prophet ﷺ said: الْوَالِدُ أَوْسَطُ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ
“The father is the middle gate of Paradise.” (Reported by al-Tirmidhī)
Either you open that gate through dutifulness and become among the successful, or you close it through disobedience and become among those distanced from mercy. So fulfill his rights, appreciate his efforts, comfort his loneliness, and lower your voice in his presence. It has been said:
“Do not call him by his name, do not walk ahead of him, and do not sit before he sits.” (Adab al-Mufrad)
So honor your fathers, show them your love and appreciation, and act upon the words of your Lord: “O you who believe, obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those in authority among you.”
(Qurʾān 4:59). I say these words of mine, and I seek forgiveness from Allah for myself and for you, so seek His forgiveness.
The Second Sermon
All praise belongs to Allah alone, and prayers and peace be upon the one after whom there is no prophet.
To proceed: O dutiful son: Indeed, the grandfather holds the rank of the father, as many of the Companions — may Allah be pleased with them — said. And when a person’s life becomes long, his hardships also become prolonged, his bones grow frail, and his strength weakens. He becomes more sensitive and more in need of a gentle hand, a kind word, tender speech, and refined conversation. Here the true character of righteous children becomes manifest: a son who sees in the old age of his father or grandfather an opportunity to serve him, comfort his loneliness, and hasten to fulfill his needs, acting upon the words of his Lord:
“If one or both of them reach old age in your care, do not say to them even ‘uff,’ nor rebuke them, but speak to them noble words.” (Qurʾān 17:23)

“If one or both of them reach old age in your care, do not say to them even ‘uff,’ nor rebuke them, but speak to them noble words.” (Qurʾān 17:23)
So, O you whom Allah has honored with the life of your father or grandfather: treasure his presence before the earth enfolds him and you search for him only to find memories remaining. Seek his pleasure and request his supplication, for the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Three supplications are unquestionably answered — among them: the supplication of the parent.” (Reported by Abū Dāwūd)
And O you who have fallen short regarding the rights of your father or grandfather: let this day become the beginning of dutifulness and loyalty through a word that heals a broken heart, or a service that erases previous neglect. For dutifulness to parents is a debt returned and a righteous legacy that endures. Have you not seen how Ibrāhīm (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed his father with words filled with reverence, love, gentleness, and affection, saying: يَا أَبَتِ
“O my dear father…” (Qurʾān 19:42)
So, Allah granted him a dutiful son who said:
“O my dear father, do as you are commanded.” (Qurʾān 37:102)
And O you who have bid farewell to your father or grandfather into the mercy of Allah — may Allah reward you in your loss: Know that dutifulness toward him has not ended. Visit his grave, pray for him after the prayers, seek forgiveness for him in your moments of solitude, give charity on his behalf from good and pure wealth, mention his virtues, settle his debts, fulfill his will, maintain his ties of kinship, and honor his friends. For the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Among the greatest acts of dutifulness is that a man maintains relations with the loved ones of his father.” (Reported by Muslim)
Glad tidings, then, to the one who preserves the rights of his parents, both living and deceased, making dutifulness toward them his constant practice and established way, and planting this virtue among his children and grandchildren.
And may Allah send prayers, peace, and blessings upon our master and Prophet Muḥammad, the Seal of the Messengers, and upon his family, his pure wives — the Mothers of the Believers — and his noble and blessed companions. O Allah, forgive our fathers and have mercy upon them as they raised us when we were young, and reward them on our behalf with the best of rewards.
O Allah, whoever among us has a living father, bless him with health and well-being, and delight his eyes with the righteousness of his offspring. And whoever’s father has passed away, widen his entrance into the grave, illuminate his resting place, and raise his rank among the rightly guided.
O Allah, make us a source of joy for them, and grant our children success in being dutiful toward us.
O Allah, these are the days of the first ten of Dhū al-Ḥijjah which have now arrived — the best days of this world — and righteous deeds performed in them are more beloved to You than deeds performed at any other time. So aid us during them in fasting, remembrance, and acts of obedience, and grant us success in righteousness and charity for ourselves and for our parents, O Lord of the heavens and the earth.
O Allah, protect the United Arab Emirates from every direction.
O Allah, we entrust to You its leadership, its people, and all who live upon its land. Protect our armed forces, support and guide them, strengthen and grant them victory. Reward our brave soldiers with the finest and greatest reward, strengthen their resolve, steady their aim, and grant them victory over Your enemies and theirs.
O Allah, deal with the aggressors who spread corruption throughout the earth and do not bring reform, who scheme against Your servants and violate the sanctity of the sacred month.

All praise is due to Allah, who has appointed for His servants sacred seasons through which they attain His pleasure, and days in which they draw ever nearer to Him, exalted is His Majesty. In them, He multiplies their rewards and grants them abundant recompense. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, and I bear witness that our master and Prophet Muḥammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger. O Allah, send Your prayers, peace, and blessings upon him, upon his family, his companions, and all who follow them in excellence until the Day of Judgment.
To continue: I advise you, servants of Allah, and myself, to fear Allah, obey Him, and hasten toward what pleases Him. Allah Most High says in His Noble Book:
“O you who believe, fear Allah, and let every soul look to what it has sent forth for tomorrow. And fear Allah; surely Allah is fully aware of all that you do.” (Qur’an 59:18)
O believers: among the greatest, purest, and most exalted days of our lives are days which, when they arrive, bring with them Divine breezes, descending mercies, and successive gifts and blessings. They are the first ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah — days whose rank Allah has magnified and whose status He has elevated, such that He swore by them in His Book:
“By the dawn, and by the ten nights.” (Qur’an 89:1–2)
The scholars said: these are the ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah. They are also the “appointed days” concerning which our Lord says:
“And that they may mention the Name of Allah during the appointed days.” (Qur’an 22:28)
Their station with Allah is immense, and His grace within them is abundant. Our noble Prophet ﷺ said:
“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days (meaning the ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah)” (Abu Dawūd)
During these blessed days, the sincere race toward their Lord, hoping for His mercy and knocking upon His door. And how could it be otherwise, when Allah has gathered within them the foundations of worship? In them are prayer and fasting, charity and pilgrimage, remembrance of Allah and recitation of the Qur’an, takbīr and supplication, repentance and seeking forgiveness, honouring one’s parents, maintaining family ties, and showing excellence toward people — acts of devotion that do not gather together in any other days besides these. Thus, the truly successful person is the one who seizes these days, invests their moments in obedience, and does not waste even a single instant of them.
Servants of Allah: among the greatest ways a believer welcomes these days is through sincere repentance — reviewing oneself, purifying the heart, and restoring people’s rights to them.
“Whoever has wronged his brother in any matter, let him seek his pardon.” (Al-Bukhārī)
Let the constant motto of the believer in these days be the remembrance of his Lord, and an abundance of takbīr, tahlīl, taḥmīd, and tasbīḥ, in response to the command of the Prophet ﷺ who said:
“There are no days greater in the sight of Allah, nor in which deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days. So, increase in them your declaration of lā ilāha illa Allāh, your takbīr, and your praise of Allah.” (Ahmad)

*First Sermon*
All praise is due to Allah, who has appointed for His servants sacred seasons through which they attain His pleasure, and days in which they draw ever nearer to Him, exalted is His Majesty. In them, He multiplies their rewards and grants them abundant recompense. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without partner, and I bear witness that our master and Prophet Muḥammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger. “There are no days greater in the sight of Allah, nor in which deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days. So, increase in them your declaration of lā ilāha illa Allāh, your takbīr, and your praise of Allah.” (Ahmad)
These are but a few simple words upon the tongue, yet they are immense in the sight of Allah. He raises them to the highest assembly, where they continue to mention the name of the one who uttered them.
“The words of glorification, praise, and declaration of Allah’s greatness and oneness that you utter circle around the Throne with a humming like the humming of bees, mentioning the name of the one who said them. Would not one of you love to have something with Allah that continues to mention him?” (Ahmad)
So, repeat them throughout all times. Guard your obligatory prayers and increase in voluntary prayers so that you may attain the love of the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Allah says in the sacred hadith:
“My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him; and My servant continues drawing near to Me through voluntary acts until I love him.” (Al-Bukhārī)
So, do not neglect prayers that draw you nearer to your Lord. Fill your time with takbīr and tasbīḥ. Remain devoted to reciting the Book of your Lord. Give charity from what your Provider has granted you. Honor your parents. Maintain ties of kinship. Show goodness to others. Pardon those who wronged you — seizing these blessed days before they pass away.
For when a sacred season departs, it becomes only a memory; and when life itself passes, it becomes but a trace. Truly, the intelligent person is the one who takes from today for tomorrow, from health for sickness, from free time for busyness, and from life for what comes after death. Allah Most High says: “O you who believe, obey Allah, obey the Messenger, and those entrusted with authority among you.” (Qur’an 4:59) I say these words of mine, and I seek forgiveness from Allah for myself and for you — so seek His forgiveness.
*Second Sermon*
All praise is due to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet.
As for what follows: O you who are eager to seize the blessings of these ten days — indeed, fasting during these days carries immense reward and tremendous virtue. So, strive to fast as many of them as you are able, following the example of the Prophet ﷺ, for:
“He ﷺ used to fast the first nine days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah.” (Abu Dawūd)
And let your greatest concern be the fasting of the Day of ʿArafah, for its merit is immense for those who truly recognize its worth. Listen to the words of the Prophet ﷺ encouraging its fast:
“Fasting the Day of ʿArafah — I hope from Allah that it expiates the sins of the year before it and the year after it.” (Muslim)
What an immense gift this is! What a generous favour! A single day through which Allah forgives sins and burdens, and by which He frees souls from the Fire. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than the Day of ʿArafah.”
So, invest every moment of that day in supplication, that you may attain from Allah the abundance of His generosity. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The words of glorification, praise, and declaration of Allah’s greatness and oneness that you utter circle around the Throne with a humming like the humming of bees, mentioning the name of the one who said them. Would not one of you love to have something with Allah that continues to mention him?” (Ahmad)

“The best supplication is the supplication of the Day of ʿArafah, and the best words that I and the prophets before me have said are: ‘There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things.’” (Al-Tirmidhī)
Reflect, then, on how the Prophet ﷺ made these words the greatest supplication on this mighty day — because within them lies complete exposure to the generosity and grace of Allah. For when the Majestic Lord hears sincere praise from His servant, He pours upon him from the vastness of His bounty. How truthful are the words of the poet: “If a man praises you one day sincerely,
his very praise suffices as his request.”
So, increase in praising Allah, and send abundant blessings upon the Seal of the Prophets ﷺ. Begin your supplications with these two noble acts, and your hopes shall be answered. Ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “I was praying while the Prophet ﷺ, Abū Bakr, and ʿUmar were present. When I sat, I began by praising Allah, then sending blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, then I supplicated for myself. The Prophet ﷺ said: سَلْ تُعْطَهْ، سَلْ تُعْطَهْ
‘Ask, and you shall be given; ask, and you shall be given.’” (Al-Tirmidhī)
O Allah, all praise belongs to You, and all thanks belong to You — its outward and inward forms. To You belongs all praise until You are pleased, and to You belongs all praise after You are pleased, and to You belongs everlasting praise forevermore.
O Allah, send Your prayers, peace, and blessings upon our master and Prophet Muḥammad, the Seal of the Messengers; upon his family; his pure wives, the Mothers of the Believers; and upon his radiant and noble companions.
O Allah, be pleased with Abū Bakr, ʿUmar, ʿUthmān, ʿAlī, and all the honored Companions.
O Allah, bless for us the ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah, and aid us therein in remembering You, thanking You, and worshipping You beautifully.
O Allah, grant us success in seizing their blessings, accept from us the righteous deeds performed within them, and make us among those accepted and showered with mercy.
O Allah, help us to fast the Day of ʿArafah, and make it an expiation for our sins, an elevation of our ranks, and a cause for Your pleasure with us.
O Allah, accept the pilgrimage of the pilgrims to Your Sacred House, make their rites easy for them, and return them safely and rewarded to their families.
O Allah, protect the United Arab Emirates from every harm. O Allah, we entrust to You its leadership, its people, and all who live upon its land.
O Allah, preserve Sheikh Muḥammad bin Zāyid, the President of the State, with Your protection. Be for him a helper, supporter, guide, and granter of success, and bless his life and works.
O Allah, grant success to him, his deputies, his brothers the rulers of the Emirates, and his trustworthy Crown Prince in all that You love and are pleased with.
O Allah, have mercy upon Sheikh Zāyid, Sheikh Rāshid, and the rulers of the Emirates who have passed into Your mercy, and admit them through Your grace into the vastness of Your gardens.
O Allah, envelop the martyrs of the nation in Your vast mercy and raise their ranks in Paradise.
O Allah, have mercy upon the Muslim men and Muslim women, the living among them and the deceased.
Servants of Allah: remember Allah, the Magnificent and Majestic, and He will remember you. Thank Him for His blessings and He will increase you. And establish the prayer.
