A test taker from Australia (thanks, H!) remembered the following Writing and Speaking questions from a recent IELTS exam:

Writing test

Writing task 1 (a letter)

You have recently purchased a piece of furniture, but you noticed a problem when it was delivered to you. Write a letter to the store manager and say

– What is the problem?
– How did it happen in your opinion?
– What do you suggest the manager should do to resolve the problem?

Writing Task 2 (an essay)

Some people believe that no one should be allowed to continue working after the age of 65. However, others say there shouldn’t be a limitation on age and anyone should be allowed to work regardless of their age. Discuss both views, give your own opinion and include relevant examples.

Speaking test

Interview

– What is your full name?
– Can I see your ID?
– Where are you from?
– Do you work or study?
– What do you do for work?
– Why did you choose to do it?

Cue Card

Talk about a job that you would like to do. Please say

– What job is it?

We were given maps illustrating changes made between 1996 and 2006 to one of former farms.

Writing task 2 (an essay)

Some people believe that sport competitions are a source of emotional stress for young people. Therefore, youth should be banned from participating in sport competitions. Do you agree or disagree?

حقوق شرکت کننده در مصاحبه امتحان آیلتس و وظایف اگزمینر

حقوق شرکت کنندگان در مصاحبه امتحان آیلتس برای بسیاری از این شرکت کنندگان به ویژه شرکت کنندگانی که برای بار نخست در آزمون شرکت میکنند یا با شرکت کنندگان پیشین در ارتباط نیستند برای ایشان و حتی مدرسان آیلتس ایشان ناآشناست. بنا به تجربه ای که طی سال ها در کلاس های خصوصی با بسیاری از زبان آموزان داشته ام و از تجربه های ایشان از روز آزمون شفاهی یا مصاحبه شان پرسیده ام به این نتیجه رسیدم که این بی اطلاعی در مواردی میتواند مستقیما به از دست رفتن نمره زبان آموز بیانجامد و ایشان را مجبور به تکرار آزمون نماید.
