No sabes cuándo usar "for" o "during" en inglés?

Here's my simple trick 👉

Puede que tengas la tentación de usar "during" todo el tiempo porque en español se usa la palabra "durante"....

...but it is not always the correct word to use!

Por ejemplo, un error común es:

"I was at university during 3 years". ❌

Instead, it's better to use "for":

"I was at university for 3 years". ✔️

La regla general es utilizar "for" cuando se hace referencia a un número concreto de horas, días, semanas o años.

But "during" is different...

Se utiliza para indicar que algo ocurre dentro de un periodo de tiempo concreto.

No indica cuánto dura algo, sino cuándo ocurre.

Example: "I was in England during the summer holidays".

Ahora, para dejarlo bien claro, ¡voy a utilizar una frase con ambos!

Example: I read a book for two hours during my lunch break.

2) Keep me in the loop: "I appreciate being kept in the loop about upcoming events in the company."

3) Keep me in the know: "It's crucial to keep me in the know about any changes to our travel itinerary."

4) Keep me clued in: "As the team lead, it's essential to keep me clued in on any major decisions being made."
