At a time when the people of #Iran are suffering under a regime-imposed digital blackout, Voice of America has been one of their few remaining sources of uncensored news. Yet under the leadership of Kari Lake, censorship has been imposed at VOA Persian.

Ali Javanmardi, appointed as an advisor and supervisor, has ordered the censorship of the videos of the uprising and protests in Iran—especially chants in support of #RezaPahlavi—and has ordered employees and guests to avoid mentioning name this Iranian opposition figure or publish his statements.

As someone who worked for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and collaborated with VOA for years, I urge you to act and force an end to this censorship at VOA Persian.
