Prevention of Entry for At Least 200 Amirkabir University Students on Grounds of Inappropriate Attire

On the morning of Monday, October 28, 2024, #Amirkabir_University of Technology barred at least 200 students from entering the campus due to non-compliance with the university’s dress code.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, university security prevented these students from entering through the three main gates on Hafez, Vali-e Asr, and Rasht streets, preventing them from attending classes.

The Amirkabir newsletter reported that some students who protested were taken to security offices for questioning. This decision followed a recent Cultural Council meeting at the university in coordination with Amirkabir’s General Security Department.
