Arrest of Behzad Pashazadeh, an Iranian Azerbaijani, by Security Forces in Urmia

Behzad Pashazadeh, a resident of Urmia, has been arrested by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, Behzad Pashazadeh, an Azerbaijani Turk residing in Urmia, was arrested at his workplace by security forces without any judicial warrant and transferred to an unknown location.

Reports indicate that this citizen has previously been arrested.

Despite the efforts of his family, they have not able obtain information about his whereabouts or current condition.

At the time of this report, there is no confirmed information regarding the location of his detention or the charges brought against him.
