Labor Activist Esmail Gerami was Arrested and Transferred to Evin Prison

#Esmail_Gerami, a labor and retirees’ activist, was arrested on Sunday, August 11, 2024, after appearing at Evin Prosecutor’s Office and was transferred to Evin Prison.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mr. Gerami was arrested after appearing at Branch 3 of the Evin Prosecutor’s Office.

Earlier, on August 7, 2024, security forces went his home, searched it, confiscated some of his personal belongings, and summoned him to Evin Prosecutor’s Office.
