Farideh Moradkhani, Civil Rights Activist, Sent on Medical Leave

#Farideh_Moradkhani, a civil rights activist detained at the Tehran Correction and Rehabilitation Center, has been sent on medical leave.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Ms. Moradkhani, who has been in prison since January 2022, was sent on medical leave on bail on Thursday, February 29th, 2024.

While on medical leave, she is unable to communicate or meet with her family members.

Ms. Moradkhani was previously arrested on January 13th, 2022, by the Ministry of Intelligence agents and transferred to Evin Prison’s Ward 209.

In April 2022, she was released on bail with conditions, including a ban on civil activities, communications, and leaving Tehran.
