Arbitrary Arrest of Mahim Askani and Transfer to an Unknown Location

Continuing reports of arbitrary arrests in Baloch-inhabited regions of Iran, #Mahim_Askani, a married Iranian-Baloch citizen with two children from the village of Gourshoun in the Pishin district of Rask County, was arrested by military forces on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mahim Askani, who owned a motorcycle parts shop in Pishin, was arrested at his workplace without any judicial warrant by military forces and transferred to an unknown location.

A source informed the campaign’s reporter that Mahim Askani was arrested without being informed of any charges.
