Summoning of Mohammad Darvish to the Prosecutor’s Office Following a Complaint by Tehran Municipality

#Mohammad_Darvish, researcher and environmental activist, was summoned to the General and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Media and Cyber Crimes, District 31, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, due to a complaint by the Tehran Municipality.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Mohammad Darvish faces charges of “defamation and spreading falsehoods” and must appear at the prosecutor’s office to defend himself.

This case has been initiated due to Darvish’s media activities and the complaint by Tehran Municipality. According to the notice he received, he is required to respond to these allegations on October 15.
