Execution of a Kurdish Prisoner in Urmia Prison

In the early hours of Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the execution of #Naser_Mohammadi (Hengrawani), a Kurdish prisoner from the village of Nichlan in the Somay-e Bradost region of Urmia, was carried out at the central prison of the city.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Naser Mohammadi (Hengrawani) had been arrested on charges of “premeditated murder” and sentenced to death by the judicial authorities.

So far, the execution of this sentence has not been announced by official sources or domestic Iranian media.
