Tahereh Naghiie was Summoned to Evin Courthouse to Serve her Prison Sentence

#Tahereh_Naghiie was summoned to Evin court to serve her prison sentence. She was previously sentenced to six months in prison and fined by the Tehran Revolutionary Court.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Tahereh Naghiie, the secretary general of the Iranian teachers’ organization, was summoned to the execution branch of the Evin Prosecutor’s Office to serve the prison sentence.

In August of this year, Tahereh Naghiie was sentenced to six months in prison and fined by Branch 26 of Tehran Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Iman Afshari. Propaganda against the regime was one of the accusations that Mrs. Naghiie faced during the trial.

Tahereh Norouzi, an Iranian Bahá’í, Released After 12 Days of Detention

#Tahereh _Norouzi, an Iranian Bahá’í residing in Shiraz, who was arrested by security forces on June 9, 2024, was released from prison on bail on Friday, June 21, 2024.

According to the Campaign for the Defense of Political and Civil Prisoners, Ms. Norouzi, the mother of two young children, spent 12 days in detention without being informed of the charges against her and was denied access to a lawyer and visits from her family.

The reasons for her arrest and the charges against this her are still unknown.
