❗️🇺🇸 Multiple cars crashed and jumped the sidewalk in #Inwood Thursday morning, critically injuring at least one person. The police are investigating if one or both of the cars were drag racing. It happened Thursday morning around 6:30 a.m.
Investigators said a Corvette was speeding east on Sherman Avenue when it collided with a Mercedes-Benz at West 204th Street. The Corvette then struck a 34-year-old pedestrian before coming to rest alongside a building.
Police said the Mercedes-Benz then struck a parked, unoccupied moped. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz got out of the vehicle and fled. That person is being sought.
