🇺🇸 #Austin police release body cam footage of them taking down the Islamist gunman who opened fire on people at a bar in downtown Austin. Officers were seen rushing towards Ndiaga Diagne, a Senegalese immigrant, before firing on him.

"His only interaction with law enforcement was in 2022 and that was a 'check welfare' and an outside agency. This call was reference: his mental health," said Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis.

Investigators said the group escaped into a stolen vehicle, which was later found abandoned at a nearby apartment complex. The investigation remains ongoing.
