Given how important it was it's particularly "accidental" that this section was codon optimised with all 13/13 amino acids after the K417 changed from the original viral sequence to the vaccine sequence, yet all those changes were kept the same between every vaccine manufacturer.

It's almost as if it was the virus that was the codon optimised sequence, and the vaccine was the "original" that the virus was the copycat for.
