Aging and cancer

"Some of these pathways related to phenotypic plasticity (such as signals transmitted via Wnt/β-catenin, NF-κB, Hedgehog) are explored in clinical trials [58] and Smoothened (Smo) antagonists can be targeted for the treatment of locally advanced and metastatic basal cell carcinoma, underscoring the practical relevance of these findings"

FDA approves mRNA-based RSV vaccine

"The FDA has approved Moderna’s mRNA-based respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine mRNA-1345 (mRESVIA) to protect adults aged 60 years and older from lower respiratory tract disease. mRNA-1345 is the third mRNA-based vaccine to market, expanding the modality beyond its COVID-19 precedents. It is also the third RSV vaccine to secure FDA approval."

Transmission electron microscopy reveals the presence of SARS-CoV-2 in human spermatozoa associated with an ETosis-like response

"Materials and methods

This cross-sectional study included 13 confirmed moderate-to-severe COVID-19 patients enrolled 30–90 days after the diagnosis. Semen samples were obtained and examined with real-time polymerase chain reaction for RNA detection and by transmission electron microscopy."
