NCDC continued its daily Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) meetings on the ongoing Ebola disease response, bringing together response pillars to review progress, coordinate activities and identify priorities across Laboratory, Surveillance, Risk Communication and Community Engagement, and other key response areas.

Under the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, and in collaboration with the FCT Administration, relevant MDAs and partners, NCDC continues to coordinate efforts to contain the outbreak and prevent further transmission.

Response activities include contact tracing and monitoring, mobilisation of laboratory testing kits, provision of
PPE and essential supplies to high risk
states, and investigation led by the Port
Health Services with other aviation
stakeholders.

Through coordinated action, timely information and public cooperation, we remain focused on protecting the health of Nigerians.

#TodayInNCDC The NCDC conducted a post-corrective action visit to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital to assess its readiness to manage suspected and confirmed Ebola cases.

The visit assessed treatment centre functionality, case management capacity and response structures, with participation from WHO, UNICEF, Africa CDC and other key partners.

NCDC continues to work with healthcare facilities and partners to strengthen preparedness and ensure a coordinated response to potential Ebola cases.
