UNRWA has sounded the alarm over the intensifying humanitarian crisis in Gaza City, where nearly "half a million Palestinians remain trapped in an area of less than eight square kilometers," UNRWA spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna disclosed.
"Around 70,000 people will be crammed into each square kilometer. There’s no space for a single tent. Tens of thousands of families are left without shelter on the streets," he warned.
Gaza City, spanning 74.6 kilometers, has now become a besieged enclave under "Israel’s" bombs and strikes, with occupation forces controlling most of the urban area and gradually expanding their presence.
