UPDATE
OCTOBER 1ST - 05:30 GMT+3

Unidentified vessels approached a number of boats in the Flotilla, some with their lights off. Participants applied security protocols in preparation for an interception. The vessels have now left the Flotilla.

We continue to sail to Gaza approaching the 120 nautical mile mark, near the area where previous flotillas have been intercepted and/or attacked.

🚢✊ We are now 118 nautical miles from Gaza - just 8NM from where the Madleen was intercepted.

In the night we faced intimidation: an Israeli military vessel circled the Alma and Sirius boats, launched a cyber attack, which created a lot of damage to our devices and we continue to have navigation connectivity issues. Still, we sail on.

This is the largest attempt ever to break the siege - 41 boats strong, backed by international law and the will of the world’s people. We remain committed to non-violence and to creating a People’s Humanitarian Corridor - a lifeline for Gaza. The international community has entrusted us with this mission, and we will not fail.

After a night of intimidation tactics by the Israeli Military, we can confirm that our Flotilla participants remained calm and followed all appropriate safety procedures.

Our resilience and commitment carried us through the darkness. Far from deterring us, these threats have only strengthened our determination to continue. We sail on with renewed resolve to break the siege, deliver aid, and uphold our mission of non-violent solidarity with the people of Gaza.

Everyone is currently safe. We are beyond the point where the Madleen was intercepted. Still, we remain vigilant.

The Israeli occupation navy forces are using active agression on the Global Sumud Flotilla.

Florida vessel has been deliberately rammed at sea. Yulara, Meteque and others have been targeted with water cannons.

These illegal attacks on unarmed humanitarian ships is a war crime.

All passengers on board are unharmed.

42 boats were illegally intercepted.

Their passengers unlawfully abducted.

The world saw what happens when civilians challenge a siege.

And still — Marinette sails on.

She knows the fate of her sisters on the water.

She knows what awaits. And she refuses to turn back.

This isn’t just a ship.
Marinette is sumud — steadfastness in the face of fear, blockade, and brutality.

She is what we are seeing in the streets around the world: people who know the risks, who see the repression, and who stand in solidarity anyway.
No matter what comes next, this refusal has already written a new chapter.

Gaza is not alone. Palestine is not forgotten.

We are not going anywhere.

After visiting the Global Sumud Flotilla captives in one of the most notorious Israeli prisons, Adalah Legal Counsel Lubna Tuma describes their mistreatment and denial of basic rights, treatment that reflects the wider system of abuse faced by Palestinian prisoners.

She reports that:
• Hearings began without legal counsel
• Activists were forced into painful positions for hours
• Food, water, and medical care were denied
• Women, especially those wearing hijab, were targeted with harsher treatment

This is not an isolated case, it exposes the same methods routinely used against Palestinians under occupation: humiliation, deprivation, and collective punishment.
