Marios Politis is a composer, singer and guitarist from Athens, Greece.
“This is My Story” combines Marios Politis’ personal songwriting with memorable melodies, interesting music progressions and sensitive orchestrations.
Marios Politis has assimilated his influences from the wider field of alternative/indie music, rock and blues, covering with ease the distance from Jeff Buckley and Pearl Jam down to Coldplay, Arcade Fire and David Bowie. On “This is My Story” Marios Politis gives a representative sample of his talent, staying far from blinders, hesitations and stereotypes.
The lyrics focus on introspection and personal experiences which end up in the end of the day to be pretty much common for everyone.
The album’s first single is the fragile “Who Else”.
“This is My Story” includes 12 original songs and is released in both 12’ Vinyl and digital format.
All music & lyrics are composed by Marios Politis.
