⚡️MIUI pro going paid⚡️

Why this is happening?
Gdrive links of MIUIpro are for registered users only but 4pda and telegram groups don't respect that. Also sharing direct links of the files are not allowed. This results in people not visiting MIUIpro website which means ads on their website are not viewed or they don't get proper stats for their website. Earning money through ads isn't the only objective. Dev gets motivated to see stats of their download page but due to Gdrive links sharing and unofficial mirror they don't see the real numbers and that also demotivates them.

Is it permanent?
I believe MIUIpro team is right with their logic but majority of the custom rom users consist of people who can't pay monthly or subscription fees. Most user prefer one time payment or donation every now and then. And there are some who can't pay due to xyz reasons. Some are student, in some countries paypal and other means of payment require credit card which some people don't own (like me😁, I don't like credit cards) and various other reasons which will result in majority of the traffic to their website going down. While I still believe that the reason behind this move is justified. I also believe it will do more harm than good. So there is a possibility of them reverting this after a while, which could be few weeks or months.

Alternatives?
Masik ROM is identical to MIUIpro. So we can switch to Masik or try some other ROMs.

Let’s just wait for a week or two before the decision is implemented before we start panicking. Don't flood the group with questions. We have same information as you. You can read the article mentioned above using google chrome. We will share more news once we confirm some things and once some time has passed.

How this will affect our group?
If they still continue with this move we will respect that and anyone who attempts to share MIUIPro rom which is meant for just paid user will be warned for the first time. If he continues to do so, that user will eventually be kicked out. You are free to talk about old builds and share old links. Just don't spam too much about this. We have other custom ROMs. While MIUIpro is awesome, it’s not the only custom ROM.

Hope this clears some doubts. Let’s just wait few weeks to clear some more doubts.

MI Servers Issue

So looks like users are not able to sign into their mi account and some can't even log out. Do, not wipe your device and try to flash latest MI global, try dirty flash from previous global or wait for this issue to be fixed. it could take just few minutes or hours. Stay on your current MIUI rom

If you want to try another MIUI ROM, try to log out from your MI account first. If logout isn't working then first download a free vpn like turbo vpn and then try logging out. It will be successful.

Now after flashing any miui rom, redownload again any vpn app and try logging in. That's all.

Also make nandroid backup and transfer it on pendrive or laptop. for just in case if you can.

if you are locked out from your device then flash any custom rom. you can flash MIUI again once this issue gets sorted out.
