A new community around the Julia programming language is launching in Yerevan
Tomorrow, August 27, Julia Yerevan will hold its first meetup at 19:00 at AUA to introduce Julia. If Julia has only been a name to you so far, tomorrow’s meetup might change that. It is a high-performance language used in scientific computing, data science, and machine learning.
The session will be led by Delbar Faghih, a mathematical modeler working with Python and Julia and a research alum of KU Leuven and VITO Belgium. the session will explore what makes Julia fast, how it approaches the “two-language problem,” and how it compares with Python and R through benchmarks, practical code examples, and an interactive discussion.
