๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท NATO's Global Operation in the Asia-Pacific Region

Speaking about NATO's expansion into Asia, it is worth noting the Alliance's operation Pacific Skies that began a few days ago, in which German, Spanish and French air force pilots are participating.

The essence of this operation is that 28 Rafale, Tornado and Typhoon fighters, as well as transport and refueling aircraft from these three countries, flew from Europe on a global circumnavigation, with the main training area being the Pacific Ocean basin.

โ–ช๏ธThe first stop for the NATO pilots with a stopover in Canada will be Alaska, where they will conduct three small exercises together with the US Air Force, including Arctic Defender from July 8 to 17.

โ–ช๏ธThen the fighters will fly further towards Japan and Hawaii. The Germans have already confirmed their participation in Nippon Skies over Japan, and in addition, all three countries will take part in the large-scale US Navy exercise RIMPAC in the Pacific Ocean.

โ–ช๏ธAfter that, joint training with Australian and American pilots is planned for the Pitch Black exercise, which will take place in northern Australia.

โ–ช๏ธIn August, the same fighters will work on joint operations with their Indian counterparts as part of Tarang Shakti, after making an intermediate landing in Singapore, and then return to Europe via the UAE.

โ—๏ธEssentially, nothing extraordinary has happened. Countries are interacting with each other, including in the military sphere. But the number of such events is quite large, and NATO countries have not worked so productively in the Asia-Pacific region before.

Given the global mission of German warships with the main focus on the Pacific Ocean, it can be said that the situation is heating up. So the expenses mentioned by Stoltenberg the other day will clearly go to the Asia-Pacific region as well.

๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ The season of multilateral exercises in the Asia-Pacific region is far from over

On July 12, the large-scale "Pitch Black" exercises began in Australia, which will continue until early August.

โ–ช๏ธThese exercises will be the largest ever held. The "Pitch Black" will involve the air forces of 20 countries, located both in the region and quite far from it.

โ–ช๏ธThe main goal of the ongoing maneuvers is to improve the coordination of the air forces of the participants. Pilots will perform tasks of varying complexity, which will also involve the Italian aircraft carrier "Cavour".

โ–ช๏ธIt is noteworthy that the "Pitch Black" exercises also involve European countries such as Italy, Germany, Spain and France. This is part of plans to increase interaction with the region, which are backed by statements by local politicians about the threat from China.

๐Ÿ”ปIt is important to note that "Pitch Black" are the first overseas exercises for the Philippine Air Force since 1963. And although fighters are not used in clashes in the South China Sea, Manila's participation in the exercises is another consequence of its rapprochement with the United States and its allies in the region.

It can be said that the Asia-Pacific region is literally teeming with exercises and training. Somewhere in the western part of the Pacific, Chinese military are also conducting their own maneuvers. All this together only fuels tensions in the region.
