WINNETKA, Illinois

Limestone blocks on a Green Bay Rd building collapsed on Thurs afternoon, crashing onto the sidewalk below, according to the Village of Winnetka.

The Village reported on SM that no one was injured in the incident, the cause of which reportedly is under investigation.

The incident reportedly occurred bw 3:30-4 p.m. at 924 Green Bay Rd, a building that houses the restaurant Spirit Elephant, which was closed at the time.

The falling blocks, which were about 15-20 feet off the ground, ripped down a portion of the restaurant’s awning and shattered multiple front windows.
