⚠️ Update: It has now been 24 hours since #Iran implemented a nationwide internet shutdown, with connectivity flatlining at 1% of ordinary levels. The ongoing digital blackout violates the fundamental rights and liberties of Iranians while masking regime violence

Iranian "hacktivists" have claimed credit for a cyberattack on US medical device maker Stryker, remotely wiping employee device and stopping operations. Stryker makes defibrillators and surgical/imaging equipment.

The Iranian hacker collective Handala (mentioned above in recent posts) claims they targeted Stryker in retaliation for US bombing of all-girls school in Iran. They say they have wiped more that 200,000 Stryker systems, servers, and mobile devices and stole 50 terabytes of critical data, forcing Stryker offices in 79 countries to shut down.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 — Reuters, quoting President Trump: We received some good news 20 minutes ago, and it seems things are going well with Iran.

🔸The most important thing is that #Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.

🌰 When a country loses access to dollar-based settlements, it looks for alternatives.
And that alternative isn’t crypto or gold.
It’s physical goods.

Pistachios become an ideal asset in a sanctions-driven economy.
They make it easy to build barter chains, bypass currency restrictions, and redistribute revenue without direct banking transactions.

In global trade, there’s a long-standing principle:
if you can’t transfer money — transfer goods.

Sanctions create secondary markets where paperwork matters more than the cargo, and origin becomes an adjustable parameter.

That’s why the price of pistachios isn’t just about harvest and demand.
It includes a premium for political risk, legal structuring, and intermediaries who secure the chain.

The question isn’t about nuts.
It’s about how governments and businesses adapt when traditional financial channels are cut off.

And this doesn’t apply only to pistachios.
It applies to everything — from metals to electronics.

🇺🇸Why did the U.S. and Israel strike Iran right in the middle of peace talks?

The roots go back to the 1950s, when Iran’s oil was controlled by Western powers, leaving the country with just a fraction of the profits. That imbalance fueled resentment, which later led to the 1979 Islamic Revolution and a decades-long conflict with the United States.

Today, the tension is centered around Iran’s nuclear program. Iran claims it’s for peaceful energy, while the U.S. and Israel insist it’s a cover for building a nuclear weapon.

In February 2026, the world was watching negotiations in Geneva, hoping for a дипломатическое решение.

But instead — in the middle of those talks — strikes began.

Red lines were erased overnight.

And this may be just the beginning.
